🐶 Responsible Pet Ownership 🐱

Yesterday we were lucky enough to have Kristy and Ernie come to visit and teach us about how to be responsible pet owners and look after our pets safely.

We learnt all about the importance of looking after our pets properly and the impact it can have on them as well as the environment around them if we don’t.

After great listening and getting involved in answering questions some students were able to safely demonstrate how to approach a dog they don’t know.

On Wednesday, our Prep and Year 1/2 students had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a healthy eating session with dietitian Katie. 🥕🍓

Katie taught the students about the importance of eating fruits and vegetables, why we should “eat the rainbow,” and the different superpowers that fruits and vegetables of each colour can provide.

After learning all about healthy foods, the students had the chance to cut up and enjoy their own rainbow of fruits and vegetables. It was fantastic to see so many students stepping outside their comfort zones and trying new foods.

Overall, it was a fun, hands-on and educational session that everyone thoroughly enjoyed!

A big thank you to dietitian Katie for teaching us all about healthy eating! 🌈🍎🥦

Starting this Friday!

AFL and Auskick will be conducting a 4-week afterschool program at Numurkah Primary School. The dates for this are as follows. Also attached is a flyer with details on how to register and the costs.

Program Details:
Day: Friday
Time: 3:30pm - 4:30 pm
Dates: 21st August, 28th August, 4th September & 11th September

Debating Grand Finals will now be held on Monday 7th September at 2pm.

🏃‍♂️ PE with Mr Charry 🏃‍♀️

With Athletic Sports Day just around the corner all students have been getting into some serious athletics practice.

This week PE is focusing on long jump and triple jump. This was made possible by the fantastic donation of Davis Digger Services who gave up his time to dig us a pit that will be able to be used for years to come.
