Softball State Championships | Faith Shoutout 🥎✨

A huge congratulations to Andrew, who recently competed at the Queensland Representative School Sport Softball State Championships as part of the Metropolitan East Boys Softball Team!

After four days of competition, Andrew and his team finished an impressive second overall, earning a fantastic result against some of the best school softball teams from across Queensland. 🥈

An incredible achievement, Andrew. We’re super proud of your efforts and the way you represented both Metropolitan East and Faith! 👏

Puffs! Opening Night 🎭✨

What an incredible opening night! 🪄

Last night, our talented cast and crew officially brought the wonderfully chaotic world of Puffs! to the stage, and what a performance it was!

After months of rehearsals, preparation and hard work, it was fantastic to see our students perform in front of a live audience and bring their characters to life. From plenty of laughs and magical moments to an incredible display of confidence and creativity, our students certainly made opening night one to remember. ⚡✨

A huge congratulations to every student, staff member and volunteer who has helped bring this production together, and thank you to everyone who joined us for opening night!

There are still two more chances to experience Puffs!, with performances tonight, 4 September, and tomorrow, 5 September. 🎭

Father’s Day Breakfast 💙🥓

This morning, our Beveridge Road Campus came together to celebrate the dads, grandads and special father figures in our Faith community at our Father’s Day Breakfast.

It was wonderful to see families enjoying breakfast together, sharing plenty of laughs and starting the day surrounded by community.

Is your child ready for their first smartphone?

There’s no single “right” age to introduce a smartphone. Readiness is about much more than age. It also involves responsibility, self-regulation, judgement, online safety awareness and the ability to make thoughtful decisions.

SchoolTV’s new Smartphone Readiness Quiz is designed for parents and children to complete together, helping families start meaningful conversations, recognise areas of strength and identify skills that may still need developing before taking this next step.

At the end of the quiz, families will also receive suggested next steps, including guidance around parental controls and creating a Family Smartphone Agreement.

Year 5 Eureka Goldfields Excursion ⛏️✨

Recently, our Year 5 students stepped back in time to 1854 for their Eureka Goldfields excursion!

Dressed as people from the gold rush era, students became “new chums” arriving at a busy goldfields township in search of fortune. Throughout the day, they followed maps through the bush, explored the township, took part in role-plays and discovered what life may have been like during the Australian gold rush.

There were plenty of memorable moments, including being bailed up by a bushranger, purchasing gold licences, completing a scavenger hunt, trying their luck at gold panning and even making their own damper to enjoy.

It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience that brought their classroom learning to life through exploration, teamwork and plenty of fun. While no one struck it rich, our Year 5s certainly came home with plenty of stories to tell! ⛏️🌟

A massive congratulations to Amelia, who has officially completed her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award! 🙌

This is a fantastic achievement that reflects Amelia’s commitment, persistence and willingness to challenge herself. Through the Award, she has worked towards personal goals, developed new skills and shown plenty of resilience along the way.

The experience is about so much more than completing activities, with the confidence, independence and practical skills gained continuing well beyond the Award itself.
