The deep line of fascia could be contributing to your neck, jaw, or head pain. Comment 'QUIZ,' and I'll send you my root cause quiz to figure out what's causing your pain! Fascia is the connective tissue that runs throughout your body, linking muscles, joints, and organs. The deep line of fascia starts at the bottom of your feet, travels up the back of your legs, through your groin and pelvic floor, up your spine, through your diaphragm and rib cage, and finally connects to your neck, jaw, and side of your head. When this fascia is tight or weak, it can pull your thighs together and tip your pelvis forward, restrict rib cage movement (making it harder for your diaphragm to work), pull your head forward and tug on jaw muscles (making it hard to fully close your jaw) and more. In this video, I show you stretches to release this fascia and improve mobility: 1️⃣ Lean back with hands on your hips, knees apart tp stretch the hip flexors, groin, and front of the body. 2️⃣ Widen your knees and repeat to deepen the stretch. 3️⃣ Turn side to side to release the fascia along the sides of your neck and head. 4️⃣ Reach over with your opposite arm while shifting hips to open the side body and helps the fascia release, keeping your jaw closed for full effect. Fascia is highly responsive to stretch and movement. By lengthening these lines, you can reduce tension, improve posture, and relieve pain not just in the neck, but all the way down your body. So give it a try, and if you need more help pinpointing the root cause of your head, neck, or jaw pain, don't forget to comment 'QUIZ' to take my root cause quiz and figure out what’s really causing it! #neckpain #jawpain #fasciarelease #mobility #painrelief #stretching 03/09/2025

Stop walking like an old person. Reversing your bad gait with retraining 07/11/2023

My concern: assistive Walkers inhibit oppositional swing essential as babies crawl to integrate the brain. What is that doing to dementia+mobility affected seniors. Here is a basic reminder as far as mobility health.

Stop walking like an old person. Reversing your bad gait with retraining In this video I show you the importance of thoracic extension and rotation for a proper gait. As we age people lose flexibility and start to waddle side to s...

Is anyone still out there? Its been a long time unable to focus on this outward distribution of my body knowledge. Im chsnging that soon. But first im going to be posting some sources of concern around mobility and cognition in the elderly. Especially posture gait and assistive ambulatory devices. So this may not engage everyone but its an exploration to revise current thinking. Im hoping to find allies for my evolving theories. Come on the journey with me. But also feel free to ask a stretch question i will divert my attention on request or relate what im posting to stretch theory as i go.

Bravely saying thanks for noticing this post after i completely killed off the algorhythm. If you see it please give it a like just so iknow how far it goes. Thanks. Keep stretching : keep dancing.

Stretch sessions will be opening in castlemaine soon. Pm for privates and small group consultations.
I want to focus on micro releases for tightness associated esp with assymmetry and dynamic scoliosis.

This morning i worked on incremental releases to prepare my thoracis and shoulder girdle for the quite heavy work of yogas downwardfacing dog pose. Most yoga sessions jump into this as if your body is always ready and so we push and struggle and gain not much more than the body heat of stress.

I placed my hands at knee height on a coffee table and used contractions with tiny variations of direction to work through a standing cat cow sequence at that height. I incorporated strength and bracing , neck mobility and alignment to release a fluid spine , tone the belly core and anchor the scapula, giving the upper body power and painfree to hold the down dog with strength and steadiness. My shoulders neck thoracic remained pain free the whole day. Wow. Next ill add more work on the hips and legs at 90° angles before intensifying the stretch to the yogic 45° asana. Working up to it slowly means you feel and address every twinge as you go and really map the new territory when you get there.
Come experience this with me if youve been not unfolding yr lockdown body lately.
Ill add a pic of it later.

Feet Have you recovered from the lockdown slug factor? I havent. Began today Was to start with core the 5 essential base muscle groups that anchor the pelvis and hold the body together and upright. However theres a preliminary realignment more core than that for upright terrestrial primates.

Mollusc feet.

Standing barefoot on hard floor , explore the interface of soft mullusc suction feet and the ground. No boney claw gripping just mobile relaxed voluptuous foot suction membrane sensation on the floorboards. Notice how that effects the pelvis, shift weight, notice how far from centre before you lose contact, Do you feel greater stillness as you settle into a more dynamically anchored stance? Let your weight sink in to the floor through those mollusc meatslabs ,

Now you are standng on the big balloon planet, let the balloon underneath you breath expend fill with air , draw the diaphragm out and down, dilated , to push all the air out, relax and the air will rush into the balloon planet below.

Reflect on the changes,.

Next up, tightening the surface weave of your whole abdominal area

Cheers
Available online or locally (in Vic postcode 3450 ) for one- one or small group consultations. Pm to duscuss.

Here is what i give to clients before they commence stretch therapy. It explains how the stretch therapy method is best approached, how stretcher can get the best benefits from the process. So its a way of working. Anyway have a read. I was more articulate when i wrote it than i am being right now, lol. And i currently have a great space in Castlemaine to offer one on one or small groups of 2 or 3. Hit me up if you'd like a free 15 min trial session to see if it feels right for you.
