Fun, Sun and Creativity in 2S!

The sun was shining, bright and warm,
We kicked, threw and caught with charm!
On Friday afternoon, music filled the air,
With clapping, tapping and beats to share!
Our creative minds came alive through art,

1M have been working hard on their writing this term. We have written persuasive letters and created interesting characters.

We now understand how stories are written and that they contain an orientation, complication, events and a resolution!

We have been growing our skills in writing paragraphs and are all enjoying being creative with our stories!

1M had lots of fun learning about Braille, a system of raised dots that allows people who are blind or have low vision to read and write. We wrote our own sentences using Braille and then challenged a friend to decode them. It was lots of fun!

Halfway through the term, 2B’s flying high,
With curious minds and creativity nearby!

At our laptops, we’re learning with care,
Mastering touch typing, fingers everywhere!

With Mrs Crawford, our masterpieces grow,
Painting NAIDOC magic, with colours aglow.

We’ve created hands with patterns and line,
Then hidden them cleverly… what a design!

Halfway through the term, there’s so much to show,

3C has enjoyed reading 'Rowan of Rin' and using it as a model to develop our ability to write dialogue and inner monologues. It also inspired our very creative dragon's eye artworks. In Mathematics we have been working with 2D shapes- learning about transformations, reflections and rotations. We have been very busy!

It has been an exciting time for 5D, with plenty of opportunities to get involved and have some fun together!

Last term, we enjoyed the School Athletics Carnival, showing great enthusiasm and school spirit.

This term, we brought our favourite characters to life for the Book Parade, with some fantastic costumes and creativity on display.

We also got behind Jeans for Genes Day, raising funds to support an important cause.

It has been wonderful to see 5D getting involved, supporting one another and making the most of these special school events!

Having way too much fun in Term 3 so far!!! 💛

Even though our chairs decided to quit on us, luckily 1K were able to persuade them to come back!

One of the best days of the school year, celebrating both Education Week and Book Week with our wonderful school community! 📚✨We were even lucky enough to have author Sean MCann read his beautiful book, “Earth Speak” to us!

This week, we were given a very special job from Mrs Crawford: contributing to a collaborative artwork for the Reconciliation Challenge, which will be proudly displayed in our playground! 🐸

The fun, learning and adventures are continuing both inside and outside the classroom in 1K! 💛📖
