Boerne ISD is delighted to share that two of our Boerne Samuel V. Champion High School art students, Sophia Cocita & Brenham Sloane, received $10,000 scholarships for their artwork at the San Antonio Rodeo's Western Art Competition. Both students are part of Mr. Joshua Gonzalez's class this year.

This is a historic win for Champion High School and the district. We are so proud of each of the 24 students who entered this competition this year. Sophia and Brenham will be recognized at a scholarship reception in February, where the Grand Champion will be revealed and will earn an additional $5,000 in scholarship money.

Our Teacher of the 2nd Quarter is Selina Schubart!! She was nominated and voted on by our BHS students and awarded by our Boerne High School PTO! Congrats to Mrs. Schubart! 🎉🎉
