We are thrilled with our featured Buffet artist, Marci Gurnow from the Dallas Symphony. She will be working with all students plus students in ACCA will have the opportunity to play for her in a traditional masterclass setting using the featured orchestral excerpts.

Advanced Clarinetists, We’ve Got Something Special for You!

If you’re an advanced player (think All-Region or All-State level) and are ready for a more challenging experience, check out our Advanced Clearly Clarinet Academy (ACCA)!

ACCA meets at the same time as CCC and is designed for clarinetists looking to take their skills to the next level.

To apply, simply pay the registration fee plus a $50 application fee, and you will receive an email with a link to submit a video audition.

No Audition for CCC Placement – We’ve Got a Spot for You! At Clearly Clarinet Camp, there’s no need to audition! If you sign up, you’re in! We offer small group instruction, ensuring you’ll get the attention you need no matter your level. From students finishing their beginner year to those just starting college, you’ll find a perfect fit.

This June, join other outstanding clarinet students for our 9th year of Clearly Clarinet Camp! This year’s camp will be held in Plano at Vines High School. It’s a wonderful opportunity for clarinet and bass clarinet students who are rising 7th graders to students entering college to learn about the clarinet, work with amazing teachers, meet professional clarinet players and play fun, challenging literature. We’re excited to have Marci Gurnow of the Dallas Symphony join us at Clearly Clarinet Camp as our featured guest artist this summer! ✨

Marci Gurnow was appointed by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 2024 as Bass Clarinet/Clarinet. Prior to joining the DSO, she served as the second clarinetist of the Atlanta Symphony beginning in 2016, and was named acting associate principal for the 2023-24 Season. Marci began her career as second and bass clarinet in the Jacksonville Symphony, and later served as acting second clarinet with the Detroit Symphony. She has also performed with the National and Chicago Symphony, and the New York and Seoul Philharmonic.

An avid lover of chamber music, Marci is a founding member of The Merian Ensemble, an ensemble dedicated to performing and commissioning chamber works by women. Their debut album, The Book of Spells, features eight of their newly commissioned works and was released on Navona Records. Marci was also a featured soloist with the Atlanta Philharmonic and the DeKalb Symphony, giving the U.S. premiere of Ruth Gipps’ Clarinet Concerto.

Marci enjoys spending her summers in the mountains performing with the Grand Teton Music Festival. Other festival appearances have included Bellingham, Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music, Pacific Music Festival, Aspen, Serafin Summer Music, and Sun Valley. Marci earned her Bachelor of Music from Southern Methodist University and her Master of Music from Northwestern University. Her major musical influences include Laura Ardan, J. Lawrie Bloom, Yehuda Gilad, Burt Hara, and Kal Opperman. She has served on faculty at Emory University and the Atlanta Symphony’s Talent Development Program.
