About Heather:
With a lifelong passion for music and a deep commitment to nurturing young musicians, Heather offers refined, high-quality piano instruction designed to inspire children to develop both skill and a genuine love for music.

She is a graduate of The Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, where she majored in Classical Piano Performance, with additional studies in Music Teaching and Music Therapy. Following her studies, she founded and directed her own music school in Australia, where she taught piano to children ages 4–15.

At the heart of her teaching philosophy is the belief that every child can fall in love with music when introduced to it in the right way. By combining music, movement, creativity, and structured learning, she helps children build a strong musical foundation then progressing each child to music reading, piano technique, and broader instrumental understanding.

Her lessons are designed to nurture discipline, creativity, and confidence, while providing students with the joy of making music that can last a lifetime!

We're excited to introduce the newest addition to the Austin City Lessons Team- Guitar and Piano instructor Blaize Oswald!

Born and raised in Austin (Westlake), Blaize graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Production and Engineering. Alongside teaching, he’s an active gigging musician and works as a producer for artists around the country, bringing real-world experience from the stage and the studio into every lesson.

With five years of teaching experience, Blaize tailors his approach to each student’s goals, age, and skill level. He enjoys teaching students the music that inspires them, learning favorite songs and studying the “how” and “why” behind what makes great players sound the way they do. He also encourages stylistic variety to keep students engaged while expanding their musical vocabulary. Blaize teaches because he loves helping people experience the joy of making music.

Happy back to school everyone!

We're excited to welcome piano, cello, violin, and ukulele instructor Ms. Paige Butler to the Austin City Lessons team!

Paige is a graduate student completing her master's in geography while teaching music. Originally from Kerrville, TX, she has been playing piano since she was eight and cello since she was ten. While completing her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University, Paige taught piano, cello, violin, and ukulele in music studios in the College Station area, teaching students as young as age 4 as well as students into their 70s.

In addition to a passion for music, Paige has developed a love for teaching. She has worked as a teacher in both classroom and one-on-one settings and loves connecting with her students. Paige's teaching philosophy is focused on cultivating a love for learning and music. She encourages her students to share their favorite songs and pieces that they enjoy, in order to deepen their engagement in the learning process and grow their musical techniques and abilities.

Paige shapes every lesson to each student's learning style, abilities, and interests because she believes that creating lessons that are enjoyable for the student will grow their desire to pursue music outside of lessons and inspire them throughout their lives.
