Book Fair is on Tuesday & Wednesday this week 8:30-3:30pm! Books start from $5 with some small stationary items also available from $3. Parents and community are welcome to pop in and purchase some books as well. Please see Mrs Kerry in the office on arrival.

Some great books and gift ideas for birthdays and Christmas. Don’t forget that a percentage of all books sold will go towards some new books for our school. 📚

📚This week we’ve been talking a lot about pavlova after reading a story called “A Cup of Sugar” about community spirit and how different people make up a community. In the story, the character visits their neighbours from different countries to borrow a cup of sugar to make pavlova. We made connections to our own lives and the characters in the story. Some of our students hadn’t tasted pavlova so we thought we would decorate our own mini pavlova with students choosing their unique fruit toppings. We enjoyed our tasty pavlovas this afternoon 🥝🍓🍌🫐

Today we began learning about photography. We sorted photographs into distracting and not distracting backgrounds, we drew still life arrangements using the rule of threes and we took still life photographs using the rule of threes to create different effects.

📖 Book Fair 📚

Book Fair is coming up in a couple of weeks. Come and visit our school library on Tuesday 11th & Wednesday 12th August 8:30am-3:30pm to purchase some books!

Don’t forget to also start thinking about your favourite book characters to dress up as for Book Week Dress Up Day on Friday 28th August. The Book Week theme for this year is “Symphony of Stories” celebrating how voices, books, and characters harmonize like an orchestra. 🎶📚

Unfortunately due to the wet condition of the grounds at Urbenville tomorrow’s Athletic’s Carnival has been cancelled. Students should attend school at Old Bonalbo PS as normal tomorrow. Parents of 8-13year olds will receive information about the Upper Clarence Athletics Carnival at Tabulam PS scheduled for next Thursday 30th July.

We hope that all of our Old Bonalbo PS community has had a great break. We are looking forward to welcoming students back to school this Tuesday 21st July for the first day of Term 3.
