A couple weekends ago, we had the privilege of welcoming Hanshi to our Morley dojo for a special visit. While he was here, he ran a series of seminars across all levels — from juniors to adults — sharing his wisdom, energy, and deep knowledge of our style.

The visit wrapped up with a very special moment: the black belt grading, overseen by Hanshi himself. Where some massive achievements were made.

We’re incredibly grateful for his time and the inspiration he left behind. Moments like these remind us just how powerful our lineage really is.

Every strike, block, and stance in Kata is a lesson in precision, power, and purpose. It’s not just about memorising sequences—it’s about understanding the “why” behind each move and refining your skills one rep at a time.

Kata teaches us control, focus, and the ability to move with intent. It’s where technique meets tradition, and where we build the foundation for strong, confident martial artists.

It’s not about getting it perfect—it’s about showing up, improving, and embracing the journey. What’s your favourite Kata or go-to move? Drop it in the comments below! ⬇️

📸 Just a glimpse of the action—see you on the mats!
