Three quarters of AI skill demand now sits outside the tech sector.

Healthcare, finance, consulting, manufacturing. The people getting hired are not developers, they are the ones who can spot a slow process and explain how AI could fix it.

That is a leadership skill, which is why every unit of our Diploma of Leadership and Management is taught with AI running through it.

We’re halfway through our AI Engineering Course, and yesterday’s class with our Lead Trainer Leonardo was a great reminder of just how far this cohort has come.

Watching our students build out their projects has been genuinely exciting. The ideas, the problem-solving, the progress since day one, it’s exactly the kind of work we set out to make possible.

Every student walks in with a different background, and we think that should show up in how they’re assessed.

A leadership diploma shouldn’t ask everyone to imagine the same hypothetical workplace. So at Kube, the assessment structure stays consistent, but the context doesn’t. Same learning outcomes, same rigour, but applied to your sector: IT, hospitality, retail, healthcare, construction, whatever your world actually looks like. We also provided a full simulated environment to support our students.

That matters for how well it sticks, too. Skills are easier to carry forward when you’ve practised them in a context that’s actually yours, not one you’ll forget the moment the assessment is submitted.

These are the four skills employers actually mean when they say “AI skills”.

Pattern recognition, spotting repetitive work that does not need human judgment. Data analysis, knowing which processes produce useful data. Workflow mapping, seeing where things stall. Cross-functional thinking, connecting teams and systems that do not talk.

None of them are coding. All four run through our Diploma of Leadership and Management, because AI sits inside every unit.

Artificial intelligence is changing the way people build, create and launch ideas. What once required large teams, long development timelines and significant technical knowledge can now be explored much faster with the right mindset, tools and workflow.
