School Operations During Extreme Heat Tomorrow

We understand some of you may be concerned about the extreme heat forecast for tomorrow. Please rest assured that school will be operating as normal, with several measures in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all students and staff.

Classrooms are all air-conditioned and we will be encouraging students to stay hydrated throughout the day. Please remind your child to bring an extra water bottle (if frozen, even better!) We do expect to be inside on an alternate program at recess and lunch given the expected heat forecast for everyone’s safety. Some quiet activities have been planned to help keep students cool and comfortable inside.

If you choose to keep your child/ren at home due to the extreme heat, we ask that you please notify the school on Compass or call the office on 93117810.

Thank you for your understanding and support and take care out there. Don’t forget check in with your friends, families and neighbours throughout the day for their wellbeing too.

Monday is predicted to be 41 degrees. Please plan ahead for this extreme weather with cool drinks etc.
It may be necessary to keep students indoors all day on Monday.
If your child is absent on Monday please remember to enter the absence on Compass.

Tomorrow is our school dance concert at 3.30pm in the amphitheatre.
Please join us.
Bring a blanket, towel or picnic rug to sit on.
The students have been practicing and would love to share their dances with you.

Students do not wear uniform tomorrow, it is a free dress day.

Hats still need to be worn at recess and lunch.
