Today we were delighted to welcome so many of our wonderful dads, grandfathers and special father figures to St Bernadette’s for our Father’s Day Breakfast and Mass. 💙

Our students have once again participated in Inform and Empower sessions. This term they focused on how to stay safe online (Prep), keeping our information private (Yr 1/2) and navigating uncomfortable situations (Yrs 3-6). Parents, keep an eye on Compass where you will receive more information about what was covered and how you can help your child online when at home. It's a team effort! We can do so much together.

Last week, our Preps officially became 100 days brighter, smarter, taller and wiser! 🎉💯

It was a busy and wonderful day! We started at 8am with breakfast together, followed by lots of fun activities and finished with a family fun-packed 100 Challenges! 🎈
A huge thank you to our wonderful teachers for organising such a memorable day, our Preps for joining in with such enthusiasm, and the many parents who came along to share in the fun. ❤️

Mr Gill was away last week for Principal's Day but we didn't let him miss out. Today we came together to celebrate our kind, humourous, calm and caring leader. Thank you for all that you do, Brendan! Happy Principal's Day Mr Gill!

Another school camp done!

For 30 years now, I've been taking kids to camp, and still, I find it incredible what happens when children step beyond the school gates.

Quiet children find their voice. New leaders emerge. Long-held fears give way to courage. Confidence grows. Friendships deepen, and new ones are formed. There is laughter—real, full-body, belly laughter. Chores once thought impossible, completed. Mesmerised by the night sky.

Not a device in sight. Just children fully present, embracing each moment and discovering more about themselves.

At St Bernadette's teachers don't go to camp because they have to. They go because they know camp brings learning to life in ways a classroom never can. It builds resilience, fosters joy, and creates memories that last a lifetime.

📚🎶 The excitement is building for Book Week!

This week, our teachers came together to begin planning and preparing for this year's Book Week celebrations. Mrs Butler inspired us with a creative session, exploring ways to bring the 2026 theme, Symphony of Stories, to life through art and imagination.

Now it's your turn! Start thinking about your Book Week costume. Which story or favourite book character will you bring to life?

Today we celebrated the Feast of Saint Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus, with our Grandparents Mass.
It was wonderful to welcome our grandparents into our school, where they shared in Mass before visiting their grandchildren's classrooms. The smiles, stories and special moments shared were a beautiful reminder of the love, faith and wisdom grandparents bring to our families and community.
Thank you to all our grandparents for celebrating with us. We are so grateful for your love and support.

Our Year 5/6 Market Day preparation is buzzing with excitement, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit!

For weeks, our students have been preparing ferociously — making, baking, designing and creating everything from squishies, bubble tea, cupcakes and key rings to so much more.

Along the way, they haven’t just been creating products, they’ve been developing valuable real-world skills including managing a budget, understanding profit and loss, calculating opportunity cost and learning the importance of cooperation and teamwork.
