Curating and creating the books, art and artefacts for our curriculum is one of my favourite elements of teaching.

The Australian Curriculum reframed within the big picture of Charlotte Mason and Christian Classical philosophy and pedagogy provide the what and when of teaching.

Literature, nature, art, architecture, cultural artefacts, and people provide the how and where of learning. Here is where we begin to see the true possibilities in learning and teaching and how home educators and teachers can walk that path of learning with their children and students.

Watch this space in 2026 for curriculum planning resources, ideas, examples and reviews.

Upcoming online conference: 2025 Narration Conference

Calling out to my homeschooling and teaching friends - save the date for this conference happening live online in October. I will be attending.

Hosted by the Beautiful Teaching team, this conference has a wonderful line up of both homeschoolers and classroom educators who share their perspectives and expertise on narration - a simple teaching tool but is so much more than just an exercise in retelling. Whether you are new to the art of narration or have been using this teaching tool for years, you will find something of value to your own practise.
