Should be doing all the things. Instead spent the morning hiking and eating vanilla slice and now cuddling my puppy… he will only be little once right?!. Also swipe right to see my vanilla slice…Can you really blame me?


Balance. Hot topic on this mornings hike with 3 other Mum’s juggling ALL the balls. It’s a tricky one to find but it’s so important. I really feel the pinch when it’s out with us. If I’m affected the flow on affect is huge (ask my other half after I nearly blew my lid when someone (you know who) didn’t hang the towels out after a shower this morning 😜). Life’s no fun if you don’t get to do the things you want as well.


So Fit Mummies check your balance. Where’s it at? Everything in moderation. Everyone’s balance looks different and that’s ok. Now excuse me while I go wash down that vanilla slice with a nice warm chai and Netflix 😜

Here’s us this morning, not celebrating that all sport was cancelled for the day/weekend 😜 those Term 3 feelz!


Bit of fun in the mud today out in the trails. Did not feel like it today… but of course am glad I went. So nice to have a bunch of solid as Mums who rock up every week despite being half dead, had huge weeks and constantly on the hustle.


No excuses, just get it done Fit Mummies šŸ’Ŗ we could make plenty that’s for sure!


Ps thanks girls for hassling me to get out, sometimes you just need that extra little push.

A day with my big boy yesterday after an exhausting 3 days at camp. With a birthday looming next week he exploited my weakness and talked me into a day off. One on one time doesn’t happen much so if an opportunity presents, why not šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø It came with one condition, a catch up sleep, which he begrudgingly participated in later in the day.


As we packed for camp earlier in the week we nearly killed each other. Trying to ā€œorganiseā€ boys sometimes is the most frustrating thing in the world. Ok maybe often the most frustrating thing in the world 🤪 but… during our shenanigans he did ask me if he could take a couple of spare toothbrushes in case anyone forgot theirs. In the chaos of this parenting gig sometimes there are occasional diamonds and for us that’s the one. It gives us hope that we are raising thoughtful, kind human beings… I bloody hope so anyway as that would not reflect in the day to day with the siblings!


Happy Friday Fit Mummies. Someone might need to hear this today- you are doing a great job!!


What’s on for the weekend? 4am alarm set here for the morning. Need to get it done before the kids are up and about!

The first day in a while to just stop and smell the roses. How good! Officially a teacher in 2 weeks waiting for my registration to come through…WHOOP there it is 😜


Hope everyone has recovered from school hols. Busy here but in a good way with some new energy in our space 🐾


Goals wise… girls and I are ramping up for another Great Cooloola Adventure at the end of Aug so training is in full swing. Although I know this little body will step up to the challenge preparation is key and the biggies should never be underestimated. This will be the fourth run of that same trail, it’s so bloody beautiful we just can’t stop going back- put it on the to do list Fit Mummies!

One whole week since permanently having the forever study to do list in my brain! It’s still feels surreal. If you’ve ever completed any sort of study before- you’ll know what I mean. I often wonder why I didn’t stay on and do physio at the end of my first degree- now I am reminded!

Straight into the thick of it with school hols and a puppy who has joined the clan. Way to really make our house busier… why not?! Just see how much I can really take before I blow 🤪 but he is VERY lovely (as you can see).

So goals wise, what’s up next Fit Mummies? What’s everyone up to? I think you know what I’m going to say next… if you don’t have something locked in- why not? Book it in! Big or small, just something. Progress!

When you’re stoked with a little run, ocean dip and a few laughs for your birthday maybe you’ve made it in life 🩷


Happy birthday the first Fit Mummy to connect us all and start the story. How cool. Thanks for saying Hi at parkrun all those years ago.


Busy times here rolling off prac, straight into a BYU (not me, Rob & the girls) and now one last big MOTHER trucker of an assignment. I can see the light!! Stay tuned fit mummies… giving myself a big head here but turns out a few of you having been missing my socials!!

On a different kinda ultra run… 3 weeks, 3 days left of my last teaching prac (but who’s counting 😜). Bring it on!


Seasons for everything… retraining to be an adult after kids was needed, to create the life we wanted (not the life you get pushed into) can sometimes be a bit more resistant….


BUT.. that’s life right? Get it Fit Mummies… shoot for the moon and worst case, land amongst the stars 🤩

Ps not sure how successful I’m going to be at this adulting part… but I might snag the Masters 😜

It’s been a hot minute Fit Mummies. Turns out juggling life with 4 little people (& 1 big one) is a lot 🤪 all is well though & good busy (all our chosen hard). A few things simple things that has kept us on the straight and narrow the last month:
šŸ‘‰ doing what works best for the family (saying ā€œNoā€ more)
šŸ‘‰ running our own race (it’s ok to not do all the things)
šŸ‘‰ peeling back to the simple things


Rob and I have also ramped up training together again. Pre kids we did a lot together. It’s really nice to spend time together doing the things we love to do 🩷


As we move into a new phase things change, routines change and goals change. On that, remember Fit Mummies, when things are hard… it’s a phase and this too shall pass 😁


Enjoy the here and now for all it offers, and if you aren’t change it up!!

Rolled back in from my run today and just pretended for 5mins that I could throw my clothes on the floor, rubbish on the ground and then get onto what I’d really like to do. It was nice for 4.5mins until I stopped pretending and then picked everything up.


No but seriously, I think I’d like to be one of my kids 😳 what a life! Not that they think so…


Big week here with emotions running high from everyone at some stage. What a roller coaster. It’s life though isnt it, it’s not meant to be perfect or pretty.


In a couple of weeks time the Fit Mummies and I will tackle a 50km with 2000m vert. It’s a beautiful trail we’ve had our eye on for a while but never had the stars align to be able to do. This year we booked the dates early and made it happen. Looking forward to sharing the trails with you all along the way.


For those asking about the BYU (Back Yard Ultra) stuff its all Rob atm, he’s got a couple of races coming up and one with our first born 🩷 I’ve decided to take a little hiatus from racing while I finish this Masters off and that’s ok. You can have it all Fit Mummies, just not all at once 🤪
