There are only a few tickets left for Made You Look at Your Money hosted by Beam in Business | Membership + Media + Events where I’m jumping on the ā€œcouchā€ to chat about what it’s like running a business when you’re not a numbers person 🤣

Everyone else speaking is either an expert in how to make the most out of your numbers or has made a lot of money building, buying and selling businesses so there is a wealth of knowledge and practical steps being dropped over the day! And honestly it scares me a little cause I know I’m going to get a mindset shake up on a few things for sure!

If you’re numbers need some focus and energy and you want to join me at Made You Look, DM me to book a seat at my table 🧔

I was 10 years old the first time I navigated my body and mind not coping with the pressure to be enough.

I was training 3-4 evenings a week for gymnastics and drowning when it came to homework.

The expectations and pressure I placed on myself to ā€œdo it allā€ were considered ā€œnormal.ā€

At 17 I experienced my body giving in completely for the first time. Un-diagnosed glandular fever became Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. And I spent months bed bound, only getting up to go to doctor’s appointments, naturopaths, and to get more blood tests.

Over the years I have phases where I’m high functioning and living life to the fullest.

And then, sometimes with no warning at all, the flare up happens. Body shuts down, new weird symptoms kick in, and over the years I’ve slowly uncovered what’s going on.

Endometriosis, Iron Deficient Anemia, Hashimoto’s Disease, Adenomyosis, POTS, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

All ā€œinvisibleā€ yet the impact on my life visible.

Almost 20 years of lived experience of navigating how to fit into systems, and a world, not designed for your body. Systems that prioritise productivity and doing more over working with your natural rhythms to prioritise health and wellbeing.

This is why I do what I do.

Because I know I’m not alone.

1 in 9 women have Endometriosis.
1 in 2 Australian women live with at least one chronic long-term health condition.
40% of women who experience high pain related to these work through it.
77% of women report burning out at least once in their career.

It takes on average 8-10 years to receive a confirmed diagnosis.

And it often takes seeing at least 10 different health care professionals before someone begins to connect the dots that lead to a diagnosis.

All of this equals a whole lot of effort, energy and time directed to caring for yourself in order to simply be a functional human being at the baseline of a person not living with an visible/invisible health condition.

So maybe it’s not women not doing enough.

Because most women are already doing far too much and still feeling like they’re drowning.

Getting a Bordoodle puppy to train as an Assistance dog for my family was not on my 2026 bingo card… and yet here we are šŸ˜‚

The health and well-being of myself and my family have been my main priority for almost 12 months now.

Maybe it was moving into the nature sanctuary, or having a hysterectomy, or it was just the next step in the grand Universal plan…

As I’ve deepened my learning in trauma, neurodivergence, and the body over the past 12 months, it became apparent that the next chapter in our healing and nervous system regulation was to welcome a dog into our family 🧔

If there’s one thing I know about creating safer spaces for healing and growth it’s that nervous system regulation is key.

Welcome to the family Chilli 🧔

Hi, hey! I didn’t plan on going offline for a while… but I was really enjoying just being present in my life and lost track of time.

Something about showing up on socials was no longer sitting right with me. And I couldn’t be arsed over analysing why 🤣

So for now I’ll pop up when the creative urge strikes and also update you all with what’s next and where to join me and hang out offline 🧔

ā€œThe day authenticity became contentā€

I sat down with media to share my thoughts on authenticity, vulnerability and the cost of over sharing as a content strategy.

ā€˜The hidden cost of this performative authenticity is burnout. The cost isn’t just oversharing, it’s exhaustion. The notifications don’t stop. The validation is addictive. The burnout is inevitable. According to the Women’s Agenda 2025 Ambitions report, 72% of women reported burnout in the past 12 months. ā€œThe health impacts, plus business and workplace sustainability impacts are no surprise then when you start to look at the numbers of women experiencing burnout,ā€ Emma said. ā€œOur nervous systems were never designed to be on in this way all the time.ā€
