“Come Alive” - Showcase 2025

FINALLY… I’m doing a post.

I haven’t had a day off since just after showcase and i wanted to make sure everyone had their pics before i posted any. Sharing some of my favourite pics of the night now…

WHERE DO I START!! What a night. Wow!

Firstly, a HUGE congratulations to all the amazing students on their performances. For some it was their first time on stage, for some it was their 50th time on stage. For some it was their first showcase with us and for some, it may be their last. For some it was pure fun, for some it was personal growth. For all.. it was AMAZING!

The talent, the effort, the passion, the friendships, the love, the smiles, the nerves and the energy was second to none. I am SO proud of you all!

My personal thanks to Tamara - I wouldn’t be half the person, teacher and performer i am without you, and i mean that from the bottom of my heart and this whole showcase wouldn’t have been possible without you!

Tanya - Thank you for helping teach and inspire these amazing young musos! We appreciate you so much!

Thomas - I mean it every time i say you’re my favourite person i’ve ever worked with. I love how we are just always on the same level with our work ethic. I couldn’t have done any of this with without you. Your choreography was INCREDIBLE!

It’s bright, it’s colourful and it’s our biggest one yet!

The showcase of all showcases. The night will demonstrate team work, talent, friendship and most of all, HARD WORK.

The students have understood the assignment. Showing up, working hard, challenging themselves AND supporting each other.

For some, it’s their first showcase ever and for some, it’s their last. For all… it’s the funnest night of the year!

Rehearsals are already in full swing and we are so excited!

Tickets will go on sale Monday March 10th!

Sweet Brooklyn joined me on stage at my show on Thursday night and it was the most beautiful and special moment.

I showed Brooklyn this song about 4 weeks ago and said we should learn it for fun.
Brooklyn, being Brooklyn, put in the work without knowing there was a “reward” at the end.

After seeing her incredible work ethic lock into gear yet again, and seeing how amazing she was at her own show only weeks prior and also knowing she’d already purchased tickets to my show and would be there, i asked if she’d join me on stage for my very last song.

Nothing gives me more joy than seeing my students grow and become amazing young singers, performers and people and this moment right here is one i will never forget.

Was it “perfect”, no… but was it “PERFECT” - YES ♥️

Keep aiming for the stars Brooklyn, you WILL get there my girl. Thank you so much for singing with me x

Nothing in this life gives me more joy than seeing my students achieve greatness and thrive… And tonight my heart was full of pure happiness watching Jess and Brooklyn on stage.

Both girls were amazing and really owned their space and stepped up their game.

Jess - That’s your best performance to date. You were calm, in control and you spoke and sang so well. You were genuine with your delivery and had the audience right there with you every step of the way. You set a new standard for yourself tonight Jess. Well done!

Brooklyn - You were in your absolute element tonight. I think you’ve found your niche. Comedy cabaret - Just like your teacher. You took on all the advice i gave you leading up to tonight and you executed it with precision well beyond your 19yrs. You sang and spoke with raw, real emotion and intention and we were with you the whole way through. Well done!

Huge shout out to Natalya on being a wonderful accompanist for the girls. I know they loved working with you.

Need to give this little ray of sunshine a shout out…! x

On Monday, Willow attended a 1st round call back for ANNIE at the Capital Theatre with hundreds of other gorgeous kids.. Willow blitzed her vocal call and progressed through to the dance call. Later that night she received an email saying she had made it through to the next round which was 9am the very next day.
Willow went back to complete an acting call where she was to read through the script. She then progressed again through to the very last round of auditions..
Sadly she was cut right at the very last cut and while this of course made her sad, she is fully aware of just how amazing she did to get this far!!

Also this past week, Willow completed her grade 2 Tap exam under Me Thomas’s guidance with AND she did her very first performance with a LIVE BAND on Sunday.

Willow is 8yrs old and is the absolute definition of “You can do anything if you put your mind to it”.

No dream is too big. The only thing that stops us achieving our dreams is us.
Willows own words “I’m going to get that call back, im manifesting it” She was also so prepared for anything that got thrown her way in that room…

You’re amazing Willow, and we are all SO proud of you!

Biggest shout to to Mumma Lisa and Dadda Jason for being amazing parents and raising a little girl who is so fearless and so perfectly “Willow” ♥️♥️

Congratulations Azaylee, Willow, Jayden, Brodie, Brooklyn, Victoria, Jess and Hannah - You took on this opportunity like professionals and gave a wonderful performance and you’re now all reaping the benefits.

To say i’m proud of these incredible young humans would be the understatement of the century!

Firstly, I’d like to thank Terry Rae and his incredible band for this wonderful opportunity and for taking us all in and letting us share the stage with you. There’s not many places for these young up and coming singers to gain experience, and today was invaluable. Thank you!

Azaylee & Willow - What can i say!! Professional, excellent vocals, excellent team work and absolute cuteness overload. You two are truly a force to be reckoned with. I’m SO proud of you both!

Brodie - You really found your place today. The second you opened your mouth, everyone knew you “had it”. Your voice is so full and rich and you are just a delight to watch on stage!

Jayden - Such a hard song and my gosh you NAILED IT! Your pitch is unwavering and you have the cheekiest, most charismatic presence on stage!

Brooklyn - You tackled a classic. A stand alone, sing your face of song.. and you did it with such poise, confidence and passion. You’re developing into a fantastic young singer and performer.

Hannah - You are doing it my girl! You are the epitome of hard work and determination. You are embracing every opportunity that comes your way and you are improving with every note that comes out of your mouth.

Vicky - Your patience, calmness and your undeniable musicality shone on that stage today. Your voice is angelic and we are so happy to have you as the newest addition to our team!

Jess - Your experience and maturity really shone through today. You stayed calm, locked in with the band and delivered a stellar performance! Well done!

Lisa - Not only did you bring the house down today vocally but you kept the house TOGETHER like the glue that you are! We love you and couldn’t have done it without you!

Tamara - To put it simply.. We ADORE YOU. All of us! You’re amazing and i’m so blessed to have you in my life and my corner always!! Thank you!

Amelie - You gorgeous girl! showing up for your fellow students was SUCH a beautiful thing to do! Thank you x

My biggest goal, besides teaching people how to sing and perform, is and has always been to create a positive, supportive environment and family. No competition with each other, but friendships and being each other’s biggest fans and that really shone through today.
I am the proudest Natta there ever was ♥️
