Since graduating, Lily has begun building her career in student recruitment at Cricket Victoria while gaining valuable industry experience and pursuing her passion for sport.

Her journey from MCEA student to Cricket Victoria employee & now Empowered to Lead scholarship recipient, highlights how education, practical experience and skills development can open doors to rewarding careers in sport!

Fantastic to see another Melbourne Cricket Education Academy recent graduate take their learnings into the workplace and join our Victorian cricket community! 📚🏏

We are excited to welcome Beau Nixon as the BHRDCA Competition Administrator.

Beau commenced in the role this week and has already been in touch with our clubs.

Beau has previously worked in the hospitality industry in several managerial roles in both Yarrawonga and Albury. After moving to Melbourne at the beginning of last year, Beau recently completed a Dual Diploma of Business/Leadership and Management, whilst simultaneously working casually at Cricket Victoria (CV) for the last 12 months.

Whilst at CV some of Beau’s roles have included:

• Match manager across multiple Sheffield Shield and BBL fixtures, overseeing operational delivery (including the Sheffield Shield Final between Victoria and South Australia)
• Live-In Coordinator for Cricket Victoria's Under 15 Girls Country Cup, coordinating tournament logistics, stakeholder communication, participant welfare and competition operations
• Indoor centre coordinator for Junction Oval, ensuring the smooth running of club bookings for training sessions, across evenings and weekends

Annual Kookaburra tour 🏏

Last week our students were lucky enough to get an awesome tour of Kookaburra Cricket AUS/NZ !

Learning about the inner workings of a incredible business, as well as seeing a behind the scenes of the production line of both Kookaburra bats ( 🇦🇺 Kookaburra Batmaker )and balls.

A big thank you to the team at Kookaburra who once again went above and beyond to create a highlight of our students journey! 🙌
