During our NAIDOC week celebrations, the children in the Mirri and Kubbi rooms demonstrated a deep engagement with traditional First Nations oral texts (EYLF Outcome 5.2). By translating stories like “How the Birds Got their colours” into their own words and vibrant visual art, they successfully made meaning through creative media (EYLF Outcome 5.3). This combined experience not only built their fine motor and cognitive development but also fostered a respectful connection to Indigenous histories, supporting a rich development of cultural identity (EYLF Outcome 1.3 & 2.2).

A big thank you to our wonderful Kindy educators and families who came together for a special event supporting a great cause.
Together, we helped raise donations for the cancer council to support their important work and make a positive difference in the community.
We are so grateful for everyone’s time, kindness, support, and generosity. It was a beautiful opportunity to connect as a Kindy community, and we are proud to be a part of this meaningful event each year.

The team at St Peters Lutheran Kindy were busy last week attending the LEQ Early Years Conference. We attended many sessions on different aspects that help our team grow professionally and apply skills and knowledge in practice.
Some snippets of the conference days and huge shout out to our team for wining best dressed for “The Guiding Light” award at the conference dinner.

As the academic year for our 2025 children ends today, we thank everyone for their continuous support and partnership with us. All our staff at St Peters Lutheran Kindergarten would like to wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Our service will be closed after today and resume back on the 12th of January. Children will start on the 13th of January.
