567 Collins Street Groundplane Sets a New Standard for Commercial Adaptive Reuse.
At 567 Collins Street, a targeted architectural intervention has transformed an underutilised CBD asset into a vibrant mixed-use precinct —
To cultivate a warm, human‑centred foyer, a tapestry of strategies and material shifts have been woven together. A new curved reception desk hewn from “for di pesco” marble and anchored by a deep bronze plinth, sits in front a custom digital art installation that’s movement calls to the street.

567 Collins Street Groundplane Sets a New Standard for Commercial Adaptive Reuse.
At 567 Collins Street, a targeted architectural intervention has transformed an underutilised CBD asset into a vibrant mixed-use precinct — achieving an estimated 50–75% reduction in embodied carbon through strategic restraint and adaptive reuse.
Rather than strip and rebuild, the design works with what’s already there. A large-format digital art installation extends the precinct’s identity into the surrounding streetscape .
The result is a precinct that feels considered, not constructed from scratch. A reminder that adaptive reuse isn’t a compromise — it’s a smarter way to build.
