We are incredibly touched that Councillor Carol Zhang - City of Cockburn shared her family’s experience with South Lake Early Learning Centre. Her reflections are a beautiful reminder that quality early learning is about so much more than education—it’s about supporting families, building relationships, and providing a safe, nurturing place where children can thrive.

For over 30 years, our mission has remained the same: to care for every child as if they were our own and to support families through every season of life.

We’re so excited to share a closer look at our brand-new playground at South Lake Early Learning Centre!

Every element has been carefully considered to create a space where children can explore, build confidence, develop new skills and learn through play. From sensory experiences and nature-inspired features to opportunities for climbing, balancing and imaginative play, this playground has been created with our children’s growth and wellbeing at its heart.

Watching our children laugh, explore and make new discoveries in this beautiful space has been incredibly rewarding, and we can’t wait for many more memories to be made here.

A new week of delicious, nourishing meals is ready for our little learners! 💙

Week 3 of our Winter Menu has been thoughtfully planned to provide balanced nutrition, plenty of variety, and comforting seasonal favourites to keep little bodies energised for a week of learning, exploring, and growing.

Our new playground is taking shape, and while we're not quite ready to reveal it all, we wanted to share a glimpse into the thinking behind the design.

At South Lake ELC, we believe a great playground is so much more than a place to play. It's a space where children can explore, imagine, create and grow.

✨ Sensory experiences encourage curiosity and support brain development.
✨ Imaginative play nurtures creativity, communication and confidence.
✨ Adventure and role play help children build resilience, problem-solving skills and friendships.
✨ Music and movement inspire self-expression and joyful learning.

Every element has been carefully chosen with one goal in mind—to create an environment where children can learn through play every single day.
