Enrolments and tours available South Lake Child Care Centre has worked hard to build up a strong reputation in our community. You will see that our beautiful building is well cared for and that we are well equipped with indoor and outdoor play activities. We have always had a dedicated staff and a supportive committee. Our staff prog

ramme for the individual needs of your children. We love them all and are working in this capacity because we enjoy our jobs and want to make a contribution to the development, and education of our young Australian children. We need parental involvement with our committee of management and also value parents who are able to help us with fund raising and busy bees. Our Committee Meetings are held regularly. Please consider joining us to help us maintain the high quality care we offer. Thank you for sharing your children with us but remember, we will never take your place.

💙 A little late on the socials… but a thank you this big is worth saying out loud.

We celebrated our incredible educators in-centre for Early Childhood Educators’ Day yesterday, and now it’s time to celebrate them here too!

To the educators who show up every day with patience, kindness, creativity and care — thank you. 🌱

Thank you for the cuddles, the conversations, the messy play, the endless questions, the songs, the stories and all those little moments that make such a big difference.

We’re incredibly lucky to have a team who don’t just care for children, but become such an important part of their lives — and in many cases, have been part of South Lake families for generations.

To our South Lake educators: we see you, we appreciate you, and we are so grateful for everything you do. 💛🦆

🌟 Staff Spotlight – Meet Sophia! 🌟

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on the wonderful Sophia, who has been part of the South Lake family for an incredible 19 years! 💛

What Sophia loves most about working in early childhood education is the special connections she builds with the children. From hearing them greet her with “Fia” and receiving a hug at the start of the day, to being the person they come to for cuddles when they’re feeling sad or scared—these moments truly fill her heart. 🥰

Sophia loves watching the children grow stronger, get taller, learn new skills and reach important milestones. ✨ Knowing that she can support and guide them every step of the way is what inspires her each day.

🎶 Her favourite activity is singing action songs and nursery rhymes with the children. She loves creating a happy and engaging atmosphere where children can enjoy learning and joining in together.

Outside of the centre, Sophia enjoys practising Pilates and yoga, as well as swimming. 🧘‍♀️🏊‍♀️

When asked to describe South Lake Early Learning Centre in three words, Sophia chose:

BOOK WEEK DAY 3: LEVEL UNLOCKED 🎮🍄📚

Who knew Book Week could turn our playground into the Mushroom Kingdom? 😂

We love that Book Week gives us the chance to embrace the fun, get into character and share the joy of stories and imagination with the children. 💛

Because sometimes celebrating books means reading a story… and sometimes it means riding trikes, taking the Jet Ski for a spin and conquering the playground! 😂🎮

We’re having so much fun celebrating Book Week and we can’t wait to see which characters appear next! 👀📚✨
