Brisbane State High School Class of '86 Reunion

Ok everyone here we go. The date is locked in for our 40th reunion. Thank you to Nicole West for making the arrangements so far. It is on State High Day 2026 so activities and a rugby game will be on at the school. We have booked the rooftop function area and can do a school tours. I have also posted this in the group BSHS class of 1986 page which is the official one for our year. Can everyone please join that if you haven’t already? Let’s share this far and wide to get the best turnout we can. Can’t wait! Love to all❤️

It was a fantastic night. Extraordinary to think that after 30 years we stil have so much genuine affection for and camaraderie with each other. More proof of how awsome you all are.

Hi Everyone, Today is Reunion Day. We are now expecting over 90 people!!! The booking site will be closed to new bookings around lunch time but you can still come tonight and pay at the door.
School tour starts at 3pm, Upper Quad.

4 days to go! Thanks for your support everyone. We are expecting over 70 people at the reunion. Should be a fun time.

Last minute details:

School Tour-
The tour of the school will start at 3pm in the Upper Quad behind the Red Brick building and go for about 2 hours. Barry Irwin from the Past Students Association will be our tour guide. We will also have special guest Ray Jakins (former Deputy) who can't make the night but would like to see what became of us and say hi.

After the tour we can wander down to the Fox to start festivities around 6pm. If you arrive early, grab a drink in the downstairs bar.

Reunion-

The reunion will be on The Dandy Rooftop starting at 6pm. We will have our own section of the roof top for the event so those of you who have left Brisvegas can admire the unfamiliar skyline and those who still live here can wonder at who will live in all of those high rise apartments.

A selection of finger foods will be served with drinks (beer, wine and soft) provided until the bar tab runs out. After that, drinks are available for purchase. The "event" finishes at 12pm but if you want to kick on, the bar is open until 2am. Aren't we too old for that???

Minimum dress is standard for a pub on a Saturday night. If you are really concerned can you please call them because I didn't bother to ask.

It's not too late if you still want to come. And yes, if you don't own a credit card, we can take cash at the door.
