🎓Academic results can open doors, but employers often want to see how you communicate, work with others, adapt to challenges, and apply what you’ve learned in real situations.
💼Experience, projects, volunteering, leadership, and a willingness to learn can all help you stand out.

💼Preparing two or three questions to ask during an interview can leave a strong impression on employers.
Thoughtful questions show that you’re engaged, curious, and genuinely interested in the role, not just trying to 'get through' the interview. It also helps you learn more about the workplace, team culture, and expectations before accepting a position.
🤝A good interview is a conversation, not just a test.

💼Following up after an interview can help you stand out.
A short thank-you email reminds employers of your enthusiasm, reinforces your professionalism, and gives you one last opportunity to leave a positive impression.
In competitive hiring processes, small details can make a real difference. Keep it brief, genuine, and send it within 24 hours of the interview.

Wanting to quickly sound like someone who has initiative, confidence and takes ownership? Use action verbs in your resume! Replace 'responsible for a project' with 'led a project'.
Words like 'supported' or 'assisted' can make your role seem less significant. Instead, you can use action verbs like: led, created, designed, recommended, built, improved, or launched.

What if no one reads your cover letter?
Not every employer will spend the time to read the cover letter of every applicant (and some might not ask for one at all). This means you gotta tailor your resume differently to each position you're applying for to give yourself the best chance for success.
🎯Make sure to fill the precious real estate of your resume with the most relevant information to the position you're applying to first.
