Our little explorers have been busy discovering our Butterfly Play Cubby! 🦋✨
Originally part of our Kindy room, we’ve brought this special space down for our babies and nursery children to explore — and they have loved every moment! From opening and closing the doors, peeking through the colourful windows and waving to friends through the shaped cut-outs, to experimenting with how the additional play equipment could fit into the spaces, there has been so much curiosity and discovery. 💛
Through this play, the children are developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving abilities and spatial awareness, while also building communication and social skills as they interact with and respond to their friends. They are learning through hands-on exploration, testing ideas, making connections and sharing their discoveries with others. 🌱🧠
It’s wonderful to see how a familiar resource can offer new learning opportunities when introduced to our younger children. 🦋💫
