Our VCE Music students took to the stage to perform their full list of songs as a practice performance ahead of their VCE Music exams.

Students had the opportunity to perform their pieces in front of an audience while working towards meeting the performance criteria required for their exams.

Wishing all our VCE Music students the very best of luck for their upcoming exams!

And just like that, we’re into Year 2! Happy Brain Education

Following our recent celebration of the first year of our partnership with Happy Brain Education, we’re excited to already be getting stuck into another year of opportunities for our VCE students.

We welcomed Hamzah Al Mahdi, a former HBE participant who graduated with an impressive ATAR, for a mentoring session with our students.

We also welcomed HBE CEO Teba Mazin, who shared her own journey with our Year 11 VCE students and spoke about the 2027 Happy Brain Education Scholarship Program.

It’s pretty special seeing former HBE students share their experiences with the next group of students.

Here’s to another year of mentoring, opportunities and supporting our students to reach their goals!

What a great day at ASHEfest! 🙌

Huge thanks to Ashe Shepparton & Rumbalara Football Netball Club for hosting a great day of Buroinjin with local secondary schools!

Buroinjin is a traditional ball game originating from the Kabi Kabi people of South Queensland and is traditionally played with a small kangaroo-skin ball.

A big shoutout to our Year 9 student Kirawarra Stewart, who took home the Division 2 Best Female Athlete award! 👏🔥
And our Year 7 & 8 team went all the way and won the Grand Final! 🏆🙌

Awesome effort from everyone who got involved and represented GSSC!

We recently celebrated the first year of our partnership with Happy Brain Education at a Scholarship Celebration Dinner in Shepparton.

The program was the first regional scholarship program delivered by Happy Brain Education in partnership with GSSC. Throughout the year, participating students have had access to academic tutoring, mentoring and wellbeing support, as well as opportunities to build their confidence, connections and aspirations for the future.

It was a great night bringing together our scholarship students, their families, GSSC staff, HBE mentors, community leaders and supporters to celebrate everything our students have achieved throughout the year. 💙

A huge thank you to Happy Brain Education, their mentors, our students and families, and all of the community organisations and supporters who have helped make the first year of this program such a success.

We’re excited to continue our partnership with the Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District Inc. for a third year of Empowered Voices – Understanding Rights and Respect.

The program gives our multicultural students a safe space to chat, ask questions, build confidence, learn and connect with support.

It’s been great seeing students get involved, find their voice and take on leadership opportunities across GSSC
