We are thrilled to announce that GSSC has won the Victorian Schools Merino Wether Challenge for the third year in a row! ๐
While winning is certainly something to celebrate, the day is about so much more than the competition. Itโs about learning, hands-on experience, building confidence and inspiring the next generation of agriculture leaders.
A huge thank you to our amazing Agriculture Teacher, Charlotte Drinnan, for once again leading such a fantastic experience and preparing our students and sheep.
And of course, a massive thank you to all of our incredible sponsors who help make opportunities like this possible for our students. We couldnโt do it without you!
๐ฅ Watch along to see what our Show Team got up to throughout the day!

Last week the Year 7 High Abilities students took part in the Social Innovators Program, facilitated by the Crazy Ideas College.
Working in teams, students explored real-world challenges and used a four-stage innovation process to develop creative and achievable ideas focused on caring for our planet and building healthier, more connected communities.
Throughout the program, students developed their ideas, received feedback from business and community representatives, and explored how their creativity could help create positive change.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our Year 7 students to build their confidence, strengthen their teamwork and problem-solving skills, and showcase their creativity, with a focus on innovation, community involvement and social change. ๐๐๐

The week kicked off with Trash or Treasure, followed by Decades Day, where students travelled through the years with their outfits. Wednesday saw our Year 12s Dress as a Teacher, with plenty of staff-inspired looks, before Thursday's I'm a Celebrity theme brought out some very creative celebrity costumes.
The week wrapped up with our whole-school Book Week dress-up day, with students and staff dressing as their favourite book characters.
