Saver Plus is available year-round to eligible parents and carers, with many families seeking support when larger school costs arise.
To be eligible for Saver Plus, participants must:
• Be 18 years or older
• Hold a current Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card
• Receive an eligible Commonwealth social security benefit, allowance or payment
• Have a child at school (or starting next year), or be studying themselves
• Receive a regular income (including paid work, child support, or a carer’s payment, cash in hand)
• Agree to participate in free online financial education workshops
• Not completed Saver Plus previously

Eligible savings goals include school-related costs that support learning, such as uniforms, books, technology, and other essential items.

Celebrating Student Voice and Leadership

We are incredibly proud of Xander, who recently participated in a student/peer panel at the Career Education Conference, speaking in front of hundreds of teachers and leaders from across the state.

Xander shared insights into his career pathway, the supports he has received, his experience in the Transition Pathways Program, and his thoughts on career education opportunities. When asked what leaders and educators should know or do, Xander gave a powerful message:
“Support and opportunities that suit each student.”

Xander demonstrated outstanding maturity, bravery, and knowledge throughout the panel. He spoke clearly, confidently, and responded thoughtfully to every question.

Well done, Xander—we are so proud of you!

Tickets: $15 per head, kids under 12 $5, tables of 8–10
Food and Drink: BYO food and drinks, including alcohol (as this is a school run event, responsible consumption is expected).

Join us for an evening of fun trivia, games, and community spirit. All proceeds will help provide our students with a wonderful learning opportunity in Japan. Don’t forget to bring your gold coins to take part in our exciting coin toss games on the night!

A state funeral for Professor Peter Buckskin AM PSM will be held at 10:30am on Friday 12 June 2026 at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Kaurna Country, Newton.

The state funeral will honour Professor Buckskin’s life and contribution in advancing the rights and educational outcomes to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia and internationally.

Year 12 Milestone Moment

Our Year 12 students are officially halfway through their final year — what an incredible achievement!

To pause, reflect, and celebrate how far they’ve come, students recently took part in a special activity focused on “filling their cups.” Through creativity and mindfulness, they designed personalised keepsake mugs — each one representing the things that inspire, motivate, and support them during this important journey.

With the finish line now in sight, these moments of connection and reflection are more important than ever.
