Book Week is almost here, and we can't wait to celebrate with our Seaford Rise Primary School community!

🎭 Students are encouraged to come dressed as a favourite book character and join us for our annual Book Week Parade.

⏰ Parade begins at 9:00am
📍 Netball Courts

Families are invited to come along and enjoy the parade. Parents and caregivers are very welcome to dress up too!

We can't wait to see our school come alive with characters, creativity and a Symphony of Stories! 📖✨

A very special thank you to Mandy, Clare and Tim for everything you do for our school, our students, our staff and our community.

To celebrate Leaders’ Day, our students were asked to write one word that describes our great leaders. The responses were filled with kindness, appreciation and some truly heartfelt words that reflect the wonderful leadership we are fortunate to have at Seaford Rise Primary School.

Wednesday the 12th of August is School Photo Day at Seaford Rise Primary School.

Senior students from the Environment Group, at Seaford Rise Primary School, participated in the latest Youth Environment Leaders Forum. On Tuesday, 4th August, students had the chance to consider how we can communicate the importance of environmental stewardship and conservation to others. They explored this though hands on art activities and a habitat 'Real Estate' pitch. Students also had time dedicated time to work on our ongoing Environment Group projects.

International Zoom Exchange with Ritsumeikan Primary School, Kyoto, Japan.

During the week of 26–29 October, students from C2, C3 and C5 will participate in an exciting international Zoom exchange with students from Ritsumeikan Primary School in Kyoto, Japan.
As part of this learning opportunity, our students will research and prepare presentations about life in Australia, including topics such as sports and school life. They will present their information in both Japanese and English, developing their language skills while sharing Australian culture with their Japanese peers.
During the exchange, we will also listen to presentations from Japanese students about traditional Japanese culture, as well as enjoy showcases of traditional Japanese dance and performances on the Japanese harp.
Ritsumeikan Primary School is located in Kyoto, the centuries-old former capital of Japan. It is a large primary school with approximately 700 students from Year 1 to Year 6. The school places a strong emphasis on developing globally minded students and regularly provides opportunities to connect with schools from around the world.
Many of our students may remember the group of Ritsumeikan High School students who visited Seaford Rise Primary School in Term 4 last year. During their visit, they introduced Japanese games and activities and spent time playing with our students during lunch breaks.
This year's Zoom exchange will also include students from other countries, including the United States, making it a truly international event. We are excited to be part of this authentic intercultural learning experience and look forward to representing our school and Australia.

An extra special thank you to this wonderful student who set the ball rolling to get them here. What an amazing way to start Friday!
