Year 9 student Zahra Cawley recently travelled to Sydney for a week-long intensive as a member of the NSW State Dance Ensemble, working alongside talented public school dancers from across the state.

Throughout the week, Zahra trained with industry professionals and learnt a new work choreographed by Pete Evans, further extending her technical and performance skills.

Zahra will return to Sydney later this term to perform the work at the NSW State Dance Festival. What an incredible opportunity to learn, grow and perform through public education. Congratulations, Zahra! 🩷✨

📚✨ Our Year 7 QUEST students had a fantastic morning welcoming our Kindy friends from Toormina Public School into the THS library to celebrate the beginning of Book Week!

Together, we enjoyed reading two exciting stories, got creative with some colouring in, and finished the morning with plenty of dancing and karaoke! 🎶
It was a fun morning of learning, laughter and friendship, giving our students another wonderful opportunity to build relationships and strengthen our Bongil Bongil community.

A big thank you to Mrs Gillingham, Mrs Vout and Mrs Sawtell for organising such a special experience! Stay tuned for more photos and videos to come from this fun-filled morning! ❤️

Our Year 8 Technology Mandatory students have been getting creative in Textiles with Mrs Sharkey, exploring fabric decoration techniques as they work towards their major project.

This week, students experimented with fabric stencilling and block printing, using pattern, repetition and colour to bring their designs to life. The results are already showcasing some fantastic creativity and developing technical skills!

Well done to our Year 8 students on your enthusiasm and effort. We can’t wait to see how your designs develop throughout the term!

Have your say on getting to Toormina High School safely!

The City of Coffs Harbour is asking parents and carers of school-aged children to share their experiences and help identify any barriers to walking, riding or scooting to Toormina High School.
Your feedback will help inform the development of a School Safe Access Plan for our school, including access points, walking and cycling routes, connections to bus stops, crossings, footpaths and other opportunities to improve safety and accessibility.

The more feedback we receive from our school community, the better we can help Council understand what improvements are needed.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and have your say:

Our Year 11 Business Studies students stepped outside the classroom today for a hands-on look at the world of local business!
Students visited Key Employment Café and The Town Padel, where they had the opportunity to hear from local business owners, explore their businesses and gain a real-world understanding of entrepreneurship and business management.

From innovation and decision-making to risk-taking and resilience, the day brought their Year 11 Business Studies topics to life and showed our students what it really takes to establish and run a successful business!

A huge thank you to Ms Castor for organising this fantastic experience and to the local businesses for welcoming our students. It was a great day of learning, connection and plenty of fun and bonding along the way!😃👏

Recently, students from our NASCA Girls Academy attended the NASCA Cultural Camp at Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Centre. It was a wonderful week filled with connection, culture, leadership and sport, and was a fantastic opportunity to come together alongside other young women from across the NASCA community!

The camp provides a safe and empowering environment for young women to strengthen their cultural identity, build lifelong friendships and learn from community leaders, Elders and facilitators through a range of activities and workshops.
A huge thank you to our NASCA leaders AJ and Vee, and Mrs Hardie-Porter, for accompanying and supporting our girls throughout the week! ❤️
