On Wednesday 27th May, our Careers & Pathways team took a small group of students on a tour of the East Sale RAAF Base to explore the many careers and pathways available within the base.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to speak with staff from a wide range of backgrounds who all play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the base. Alongside learning about careers within the Australian Defence Force, students also discovered the many civilian employment opportunities available, including roles in hospitality, kitchen operations, cleaning services, maintenance, and other support industries that help keep the base running successfully.
Our students asked fantastic questions, showed genuine interest, and represented our school beautifully throughout the visit. It was a pleasure to take such respectful and engaged students on this valuable career’s exploration opportunity.
A big thank you to the staff at East Sale RAAF Base for taking the time to share their experiences and provide our students with such an informative and inspiring day.

The annual Inspiring Careers in Health Camp was held on Wednesday 20th May at Federation University, Churchill. Hosted by TAFE Gippsland, Baw Baw Latrobe LLEN and Federation University, the two-day camp gave students interested in healthcare careers the opportunity to experience university life firsthand. Alongside Mrs Breakspear, our VCE Health and Human Development teacher, four Year 12 students — Janella, Will, Nav and Freyja — attended the camp, participating in hands-on activities, listening to expert speakers and staying in university accommodation. With limited places available across the region, this was a wonderful opportunity for our students, who represented our school exceptionally well and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Last Friday, our Year 7 Girls, Year 7 Boys and Senior Volleyball teams competed at the Gippsland Region Volleyball Championships.
All teams represented the College with outstanding sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and determination throughout the day. There were some fantastic wins, several closely contested matches, and plenty of exciting volleyball on display.
Although our teams were unsuccessful in progressing through to the State Finals this year, their effort, teamwork, and commitment should be highly commended.
Congratulations to all students involved on a fantastic achievement in reaching the Gippsland Region level competition.
