A magnificent joyful night spent with 10 other schools singing wonderful songs! Highly recommend this Choral Fest experience. Thanks Mrs Biddulph and Mrs Currie for providing this opportunity for our students.

What a busy term. Today, staff did a gallery walk around the different classrooms and our Senior Leader, Patrick Davis joined us. There is a lot of evidence of student involvement in the learning supported by great teaching practices. Well done St Brigid’s!! We hope lots of families are able to join us on Friday after the Mercy Cornerstone Awards ceremony to visit classrooms for our celebration of learning.

A lot of work has occurred over the past week or so with the preparations for the foundations pad for our new Admin building getting closer to being ready - hopefully in the school holidays there will be great weather so this work can progress.

The students are doing very well trying to block out the noise and concentrate on the wonderful learning experiences their teachers are providing.

Such a lovely morning spent with our 2027 Preps. They played with chalk paint, ooblek, crafted and explored the playground. That was our last one before we start our orientation process next term.

Limited vacancies available for 2027 across a few different year levels so please contact the school office to find out more.

Thanks to our Yr 6 helpers and Mrs Sugars for all the preparation this morning.

Today Yr 1K went to Mass with the parishioners. It was very timely as they’ve been learning about the Eucharist in class. Mrs Turner and Mrs Steed were able to support the children and Fr Bernie explained his priestly garments and then they had a pushups competition.

Our staff gathered today to analyse data around student results, looking at NAPLAN, report card grades and other assessment pieces. It was a very informative session. Then we had time to look at student engagement. We want our students keen to come to school everyday so they can make the most of the learning opportunities. Tristan from BCE also spoke about the importance of students being invested and interested in activities and being active listeners and participants. It was a great day of learning.

💛 R U OK? Day 2026 💛

On Thursday 10 September, our school community will come together to support R U OK? Day by wearing a touch of yellow.

R U OK? Day is a reminder that a simple conversation can make a big difference. Taking the time to check in with a friend, classmate or family member helps build a community where everyone feels seen, supported and valued.

Students are encouraged to wear a touch of yellow with their school uniform, remembering to wear school shoes and SunSmart clothing. Our wonderful P&F will also be hosting a $2 sausage sizzle at first break.

We look forward to seeing our school community wearing yellow as we remind one another that every conversation counts. 💚💛
