Wooden World is a small family owned business, passionate about offering quality educational toys that foster play, creativity and imagination. Like every other parent I wanted to give my child the best start in life and I can't think of any better way to do this then through play. Today's society puts so much pressure on children to learn to read and write at an early age that the importance of l

earning through play and "just being a child" has been compromised for academic excellence. Wooden toys inspire creative and imaginative play in children which is important for cognitive brain development as well as social and emotional development. Studies have shown that play with educational toys and instruments in early childhood can have a significant impact on the areas of the brain that control language and cognition in teen and adult years. Wooden toys encourage imagination, role play, social interaction, language development, communication, reasoning and problem solving skills, hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Young children are also sensory learners and wooden toys encourage multi-sensory learning on every level.
