Sadly I have to leave Talking Arts to focus on my health and growing my business. I’m sad to leave the Inspire Radio family but leave you in the very capable hands of Brenton Foale and his new performing arts segment.

I hope to come back to Talking Arts in some form in the future. Adios for now! And thank you Inspire. It was a blast!!!

Fantabulous artist Jane Li joined Talking Arts yesterday with such inspirational advice on painting! Pop into Koorliny Arts Centre to see two of her paintings exhibited alongside other artists. And, if you pop in this Saturday between 10-12am, you can meet this delightful and accomplished Botanical Illustrator and Chinese Brush Painter!

DANNI BEGG shared the passion and experience of her meaningful career in Community Support, Deaf Education and Deaf Theatre, as well as her positive outlook on life, mindfulness and inspirational speakers/writers Jay Shetty, Jo Rogan and Mark Manson. AND SHE AGREED TO COME BACK!

CALLUM BENZIES brought us into the 21st Century by clarifying the meaning of psychedelic rock, introducing us to bands, Psychedelic P**n Crumpets and King Gizard and the Lizard Wizard, talking about his music career in local WA bands ASPARAGUS SOOP and THE FLAVOUR STONES who we will be getting into the studio! WHO WE WILL GET INTO THE STUDIO!

DALE FLOWER joined us again and enlightened us with his views on gaming, movies and shows currently trending on Netflix and Disney Plus. These guys rock!

Met with amazing artist Gina Lee in Freo on Monday. Her labour-intensive stone sculptures are inspired by the hairstyles that married women of past South Korean culture were obliged to wear. Thank you my friend Jane Randall who was cheeky enough to walk into the open door of Gina’s studio, and to Gina for being so welcoming, friendly and informative about your incredible work!

Dusty Bassinger, during last week’s ’Talking Arts’ conversation, you inspired me into this New Year’s weekend renovation project! I’ve saved the old day bed from ending up on the front lawn with a lick of white paint. Step 2, next weekend, will be to make a new cover for the sun-faded mattress! ... I used up the dregs of paint to spruce up an old, wooden plant stand too!

Reunited high school friends chat on ‘Talking Arts’ this afternoon! As you can see, Dale is wearing a Perth Scorchers Santa Hat. Talking sports will be much more Dale’s scene. But what a sport he’s been in the last few weeks, embracing the Arts segment at Inspire. Bet you never thought you’d end up in a soap opera, Dale?! We’re so looking forward to your character unfold!
