Park Avenue State School - PASS

Our Book Week parade will take place on Wednesday 26 August at 10:45am. All students are welcome to come dressed as their favourite book character. Feel free to bring your book with you. Step into Prep students are also welcome to dress up and will come up for the parade. We look forward to seeing your characters come to life.

P&C Meeting this Tuesday 25 August. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. The more parents we have attending our P&C, the more successful it is for our school community. Please consider coming along as we have had low numbers to our last few meetings.

Well done to our interschool sport teams. Students put in their all for both hockey and netball. Sportsmanship and teamwork were demonstrated in all teams. Congratulations to our boys netball team who won their Grand Final. It was a tough game but the win was well deserved.
Shout out to Byron who won the overall sportsmanship award voted by umpires. We are incredibly proud.
Well done Park Avenue students and thank you to all staff involved in giving our students these opportunities.

Students on Card 5 for PBL in Year 4-6 enjoyed a teacher vs student game of netball. Teachers played hard but students were coming off an interschool sport win and were in fine form. Well done to those students making Card 5 which is based on behaviour and attendance. Students on Card 5 in P-3 will enjoy a games afternoon on Monday.

We currently have 15 families who have responded to the School Opinion Survey. We sincerely thank these families for taking the time do this. We would like to invite and encourage many more families help us shape the future of our school by providing us with valuable feedback. This feedback is anonymous and used to inform strategic decisions and next steps. All families have been sent a link. If you cannot find yours, please check your Junk folder. Thank you in advance.

Tomorrow is photo day. Be sure to wear your best uniform and bring your best smile. Please be on time as photos start at 9am. Remember your envelopes to hand to the photographer if you are purchasing photos. For those that have come to the office, we will have them ready for your child.

Please help us keep our school distraction free by keeping toys at home. Sensory items are provided at school under recommendations of OTs and other therapists. You can assist setting your child up for a successful day by checking their bag each morning to ensure they are ready for learning.
