🦁🐘🦒 Bringing the Zoo to Life! 🐒🌿

Our educators have been very busy creating engaging learning spaces based on our children’s interests! 💚

After some of our children shared their excitement about visiting the local zoo, our educators followed their interest and brought the zoo experience into the classroom! 🦓🐅

Using natural resources, recycled materials, cardboard boxes and items that can be found around the home and garden, the children have been able to explore how everyday materials can be transformed through creativity and imagination. ♻️🌿

Through this experience, children can engage in imaginative play, build their language and social skills, explore animals and their habitats, and develop an understanding of sustainability and caring for our environment.

We love following our children’s interests and turning their ideas and real-life experiences into meaningful opportunities for learning through play! 🌱✨

🌿☀️ BRINGING THE INSIDE OUTSIDE! ☀️🌿

We have been busy at Aspire Deanside Village creating some beautiful new outdoor learning spaces for our children! 💚

With the warmer weather arriving, we are excited to take more of our learning outdoors and make the most of the fresh air, sunshine and wonderful opportunities that nature provides. 🌳🌼

Our educators will be focusing on intentional teaching outdoors, bringing experiences traditionally offered inside into our outdoor environments. Whether it’s literacy, numeracy, creative arts, sensory play, construction or group learning — learning can happen anywhere! 📚🎨🧩🌱

Outdoor learning gives our children opportunities to:
☀️ Enjoy fresh air and sunshine
🌿 Connect with nature
🔍 Explore, investigate and discover
🤸 Develop physical skills
💭 Use their imagination and creativity
👫 Learn alongside their friends
💚 Build confidence and independence

These are just some of the setups we have been working on, with lots more to come!

We can’t wait to see our children exploring, learning and making memories outdoors! 🌿☀️🥰

🧪🔬 Science Week Fun with Mad About Science! 🔬🧪

Our children had an exciting and hands-on Science Week experience with the Mad About Science incursion! They explored fascinating scientific concepts including gravity, magnets, up and down, and sink and float.

One of the highlights was creating expandable foam and observing the exciting scientific reaction firsthand! The children also discovered more about insects, including where they live, their environments and their life cycles. 🐛

It was wonderful to see the children asking questions, making predictions, sharing their ideas and engaging in hands-on investigations. This experience supported their curiosity, problem-solving skills and understanding of the world around them.

What a fantastic way to celebrate Science Week! 🧲🐛🧪🔍

💛 R U OK? Day 2026 💛

Today we came together to recognise R U OK? Day, taking the time to check in with one another and ask a simple but powerful question: “Are you OK?”

But this conversation shouldn’t happen just once a year. Checking in, listening, supporting one another and showing kindness should be part of our everyday team culture.

We want to continue building a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, supported and comfortable speaking up.

A conversation can make a difference. 💛
Ask. Listen. Encourage action. Check in.

Let’s keep asking R U OK? — today and every day. 💛

🌱 Grow together
📚 Learn from one another
🧠 Prioritise mental health
💬 Create open conversations
🤝 Support each other
💛 Build a kinder, stronger workplace

Book Week 2026- "Symphony of Stories"

It was wonderful to see our children and educators dressing up as their favourite characters and bringing stories to life throughout the centre. Each day, we shared a variety of stories, explored different characters and adventures, and encouraged the children to use their imagination, creativity and language.

Through reading and storytelling, children are developing so many important skills, including:

• 📖 Language, vocabulary and early literacyu
• 💭 Imagination and creative thinking
• 🗣️ Communication and confidence
• ❤️ Understanding emotions, relationships and different perspectives
• 👥 Connection and shared enjoyment with their peers and educators

One of the most special parts of the week was seeing the excitement on the children’s faces as they recognised characters, shared their favourite books and discovered just how much fun reading can be.

While Book Week is a wonderful celebration, our love of books doesn’t end here! In early childhood, stories, songs, conversations and books are an important part of our everyday learning. We want our children to develop a lifelong love of reading, storytelling and using their imagination.

Thank you to all our families and educators who helped make Book Week such a fun and memorable celebration! 📚✨

🌿 Reintroducing Rachel – Our Family Support & Inclusion Officer 🌿

We would love to reintroduce Rachel, who has been our wonderful Family Support & Inclusion Officer at Aspire for just on a year now.

We are incredibly grateful for the knowledge, experience and support Rachel brings to our centre. Rachel works closely alongside our educators and families to support children’s inclusion, wellbeing, individual needs and behaviours, helping us ensure every child feels supported, included and valued within our community.

Rachel is also here for our families. If you ever feel you may benefit from some additional support, resources, guidance, or even just a general chat, please feel welcome to reach out. Rachel is extremely approachable and always happy to help families navigate any questions or concerns they may have.

We are very lucky to have Rachel as part of our Aspire community and appreciate the important role she plays in supporting our children, families and educators. 💚

Our Home Corner has been transformed into a Café and Hairdressing Salon, giving our three-year-old kindergarten children opportunities to engage in imaginative play based on familiar real-life experiences. Children can take on roles such as customers, chefs, hairdressers and receptionists while creating menus, taking orders, making appointments, serving others and caring for their friends.

Through this play, children develop communication, social and emotional skills as they practise conversations, cooperation, turn-taking, empathy and negotiating roles. They also build confidence, independence, creativity and problem-solving skills. Early literacy and numeracy are supported through menus, signs, appointment books, writing orders, counting and using pretend money. Fine motor skills are strengthened through pouring, serving, writing and safely using play equipment.

This experience aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework outcomes, including developing a strong sense of identity, connecting with and contributing to their world, wellbeing, confidence, learning and communication. It also reflects the National Quality Standard, particularly Quality Areas 1, 2, 3 and 5.

Educators support learning by modelling language, introducing new vocabulary, asking open-ended questions and extending children’s ideas. This play-based environment encourages children to make sense of their community, build relationships and learn through meaningful, hands-on experiences.

🎂✨ Celebrating Our Amazing Educators! ✨

Every month, we love coming together as a team to celebrate the birthdays of our wonderful educators. 💛

A small gift, some birthday cake and a special celebration are our way of recognising the incredible people who give so much to our children, families and service every single day.

These moments are about more than just birthdays — they give us an opportunity to connect as a team, celebrate one another and remind our educators just how valued and appreciated they are.

We are incredibly lucky to have such an amazing group of ladies as part of our Aspire family.

🎉 Happy Birthday to our beautiful birthday ! We hope you felt very loved and celebrated! 🎈💐
