A common question I get asked is 'should I eat before I train" Here's my thoughts.

Your main goal for your sessions should be getting high quality, sufficiently challenging training completed. However fuelling these sessions may be difficult because of several reasons. You want to train hard but don't want to be too full or lack energy.

So what's the answer? Take into consideration:
1. Training time
2. Training type, intensity and duration
3. Previous intake
4. Personal preference

Meet Nat! Nat's goal was to increase her strength, find a new challenge and specifically improve her chin ups. In her sessions, we focused on technique, practicing the movement and improving her strength.

Each week we made progress and when it came to testing her max she managed 4 bodyweight without assistance! This is an incredible achievement and one she was very proud of (as she could be!).

Meet Tom. Owner and Head Trainer of Richmond Performance Training. My goal is to provide a high level of strength training to the the everyday person.

As a former Commando in the British Army for 8 years I developed myself and others both physically and mentally which is where my passion for health and fitness began. Now as a qualified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach my passion lies in building positive habits with diet and exercise so we can ensure that we never have to utter the words "I can't do that".

Whether you're a pro or a beginner, I am excited to help locals across Richmond achieve their health and fitness goals.
