Tracking writing across the whole school: a noble goal that rarely becomes reality.

One Head of Faculty we spoke to tried setting up an elaborate system of Google Sheets to track writing skills across subjects. This took a full term to set up but produced a tangled mess of data and only 30% teacher engagement.
