Congratulations to our Year 7–9 Girls AFL team on a fantastic Round 1 victory. The girls played with great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship, working hard for each other throughout the match. It was an excellent team performance and a well-deserved win. Well done to all players and coaches!

🏉 Statewide Year 10–12 AFL Girls

Our Year 10–12 Girls AFL team recently competed in the Statewide competition, proudly representing Reynella East College with determination, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship.

Throughout the day, the girls demonstrated resilience, skill, and a willingness to support one another both on and off the field. Their positive attitude and commitment were evident in every match, with players continually encouraging teammates and embracing the challenges of competition.

The team should be commended for the way they represented the College, displaying respect for opponents, umpires, and staff while competing with great spirit and enthusiasm. A special thank you to the staff and supporters who assisted on the day and helped make the event a success.

🏐 SUNA Netball Day Carnival

Our students recently participated in the SUNA Netball Day Carnival and had a fantastic day representing the school with pride, teamwork, and determination.

Despite the busy schedule at times, students showed great resilience, sportsmanship, and encouragement towards one another throughout the carnival. It was wonderful to see students enjoying the opportunity to compete, develop their skills, and build positive connections with other schools.

Congratulations to all students involved for their effort, behaviour, and positive attitude across the day. Thank you also to the staff and supporters who helped make the carnival a success.

🏃‍♂️🏀🏐 Busy Weeks in School Sport!

It has been a busy and exciting few weeks for our students, with many sporting excursions and carnivals taking place across a range of sports.

Students have proudly represented the school in basketball, volleyball, football, and futsal events, consistently demonstrating excellent teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. It has been fantastic to see students supporting one another, developing new skills, and embracing every opportunity to participate.

Despite some wet and challenging weather at times, students maintained positive attitudes and represented the school with pride throughout all events.
A huge thank you to our staff, coaches, volunteers, and families for their ongoing support and commitment during these busy weeks of school sport.

🌧️🏐 Netball Carnival – 6/5/2026

Yesterday, our students participated in the Netball Carnival and had a fantastic day despite the rainy weather. The wet conditions did not stop the enthusiasm, teamwork, and positive attitudes shown throughout the day.
It was wonderful to see so much encouragement, laughter, and team spirit, even in the rain. Well done to all students for their effort and behaviour throughout the day, and thank you to the staff and our student coaches who supported the carnival and helped make the day a success.

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Primary Cross Country Carnival

Our students recently participated in the Primary Cross Country Carnival and represented the school with outstanding effort, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Students challenged themselves across the course, demonstrating resilience, perseverance, and a positive attitude in every race. It was fantastic to see students encouraging one another and showing great school spirit from start to finish.
Congratulations to all students who participated and gave their best effort on the day. We are incredibly proud of the way everyone represented the school both on and off the course.

We are proud to announce that Reynella East College has been awarded the 2025 Howard Mutton Perpetual Trophy for City Schools by the School Sport SA Management Committee.

This is a remarkable milestone, marking the first time REC has received this prestigious award since its inception in 1981. The shield recognises the school with the highest level of participation in a wide range of School Sport SA events throughout the year.

On Monday the shield was presented to Sports Captains Tyler and Ruby at the State Athletics Championships.
