The first ever SWELL Summit Event! đŸ€©

What a flippin fantastic morning full of fun, fitness and friends! Some serious energy in that room this morning and seeing our members his PB's, get around each other and cheer each other on was such a pinch us moment!

We always set out to latch a charity or something for the greater good of the community to any of our events and when we were planning this one we knew that two of our members were going through some pretty tough health challenges which required long hospital stays, surgeries, treatments and time off work / impact on not only them but their families and loved ones so instead of picking an external charity we decided to donate the funds to them - splitting it straight down the middle and donating the money to each of the members to help take the edge off. We wanted this to feel like a big warm hug and I think that is exactly what we achieved this morning.

Thank you to everyone who was there this morning, those who donated & volunteered their time to help us out + our SWELL Coaches and most importantly our members, you all make this place what it is and good people compound on good people!

Special shoutout to b.visuals | Brodie Preston for this insane real and capturing the whole morning, more to come soon...

Thank you all!
Until next event... đŸ«¶đŸœđŸ©”

“Has anyone told you to just rest?”

Rest might settle the pain

But it won’t build the strength your body needs to stop the same injury coming back.

One of the biggest misconceptions we see is that a flare-up means you’ve done damage or that you need to stop training completely.

It doesn’t.

If you’ve had previous injuries—a bulging disc, shoulder reconstruction, knee surgery or chronic back pain—flare-ups can happen. They’re often influenced by poor sleep, stress, work, recovery, or simply asking your body to do more than it’s ready for that week.

That doesn’t mean you quit.

It means you adjust.

At SWELL, we don’t force people through pain or tell them to “push through.” We modify exercises, change movement patterns, reduce load, and keep you progressing safely.

We’ve had members train through shoulder reconstructions using one arm. Members with chronic back pain continue training around flare-ups with guidance from their physio or osteo. They stay connected to the community, keep moving, and most importantly—they keep getting stronger.

Because the goal isn’t to become someone who constantly needs rest.

The goal is to become someone whose body is resilient enough that life doesn’t keep putting you back at square one.

Your program should fit you, not the other way around.

Pain isn’t always a stop sign. Sometimes it’s simply a sign that it’s time to pivot, adapt, and keep moving forward.

That’s how you build confidence.

That’s how you build resilience.

That’s how you build a body that works for you, not against you. 💙

On my run this morning I ran past this sign and I knew I had to be a cheeky bu**er. 😜

I say this to be funny but also somewhat serious, the modern day leave is drained, mentally tired from running around after everything in a never ending rush leaving us resorting to quick fixes & expensive habits that don't add any value to our lives that cost far more than a $50/week gym membership and give such little back comparative to the gym membership.

Fast food companys capitalise off grabbing you when you'd be driving on the way home from work, tired, drained & exhausted telling you "deserve a sweet treat" as if to say you can fill your body with garbage / go through for a $6 frappe just for getting through the day, and then what happens if you drive past that everyday?

I'm not saying getting these things on occasion is a bad thing BUT it's the messaging behind it that pi**es me off because what are we calling a "treat" these days?
The marketing on this stuff is sinister because it's not a treat, instead it's the opposite,

and you know what, investing in your health and fitness will be a treat that keeps on giving, not just a quick dopamine release, sugar crash and calories you don't need.

Invest in something that lasts longer than the 5 minute drive from the drive through...

Your health is something that you can't buy in the drive through but it's something that will last far longer if you invest in it early and consistently.

Give yourself the treat of investing in YOURSELF and intern your family, workplace, relationships with others and yourself!

Anywho rant over.
Comment below if you agree.

What's a treat ? A momentary frappe or fitness for life?

If you are a woman in your 40s-60s and just walking, thinking that's going to cut it with helping you age well, painfree and without copping an osteoporosis diagnosis. You're wrong.

The research states that a minimum of 3 strenght & conditioning sessions / week is the bare minimum a woman needs to build and retain muscle mass and base level fitness.

If you have known for quite some time you need to "get around to doing some strength training".

This is your sign!

You don't have the next 6 months which will accidentally turn into 4 years to wait until it's an emergency and you need to all of a sudden get strong.

Future proof yourself, your family & your life!

Comment below or DM us the word STRONG, we have something for you.

Come with us to ask our awesome 6:30am crew "What gets you up out of bed to come train?"

These answers were equally wholesome, hilarious & inspiring!

Most people shy away in winter because it's too dark, too cold and too early to get out of bed.

But as you can see once you push through that little discomfort the benefit on the other side of that far outweighs that extra 30 minutes of sleep. 😮

These guys aren't going to let winter slow them down, they're using it to fuel them & as you can see the energy, community and vibes are HIGH!!

The effect of being around positive and motivated people ripples out so positively!

You're all incredible! đŸ€©đŸ’ȘđŸœ.. and hilariously entertaining on an interview!

We're so proud of each and everyone one of you!
