We were lucky enough to be gifted a big bag of oranges from my son and wife’s orange trees ! Today we squeezed all the juice out of 10 oranges and it measured 1litre of fresh fruit juice .Lots of strong hand and finger muscles were used to squeeze all the juice out using old fashioned way .The smell was divine .We tested the juice and it was fresh and delicious .We have decided to use the leftover orange cups to plant seedlings in for the garden ,We will look into and maybe dry out some orange slices for drinks and decorating along with baking an orange cake ! Lots of uses from oranges 🍊

Making our own honey sandwiches for Bee day today !The children enjoyed the experience of being independent making their own lunch .Also learning about bees and how honey is made ,and how it gets to our table .Delicious not even a crust was left !

Presented with 10 year long service certificate and medal yesterday for Running Family Daycare ,presented from Thrive kids .Have worked in the childcare industry for 24 years ! working with children and families everyday is something I’m very passionate about ❤️

Today it was nice to get out and go for a walk to our excursion to visit the petting zoo .The children got to feed and pat some of the animals .We saw pigs,ducks,ducklings,guinea pigs,goats,rabbits,lambs.
Followed by a big play in the playground and lunch with ice cream for a special treat !

Cooking experience today the children made Garlic cheesy rustic flat bread .Children added the ingredients we needed added flour to their board and kneaded and rolled out the dough ,brushing on the Garlic butter and adding grated cheese .Into the oven till golden , the children enjoyed a nice hot afternoon tea they made themselves.

With school holidays upon us ,children love the water and the beach and swimming.Today we created a beach scene sensory tray ,adding colored gems and treasures for the glistering ocean .The children spent a great amount of time exploring natural materials making sand castles and moving items around .The children added people to sun bake under the umbrellas

Happy birthday to me ! Shout out to one of my amazing mums Katie for the first cake so delicious and thoughtful we enjoyed with the children .Second cake decorated by my lovely youngest daughter Lailah we will enjoy tonight after dinner ,third cake I enjoyed with my husband and my children ,partners and grandchildren accompanied by lovely dinner out .So grateful to have 3 cakes very lucky lady xx❤️🎉🎈🎂
