All young people from 2 to 17 years of age in NSW are now eligible for the free nasal spray flu vaccine.

Expanding eligibility aims to boost statewide vaccination rates and make it easier for families - especially those with children who dislike needles.

The nasal spray flu vaccine is gentle, painless and available for free for a limited time at GPs, Aboriginal Medical Services and pharmacies.

Influenza (flu) is serious but isn’t as scary if you’re vaccinated. A flu vaccine offers you and your child the best protection from serious illness.

Looking for something to do with the family, go check out the Easter markets & the egg hunt. Looks like it’s going to be a great event 🐣

We know it is a little early… but we LOVE Easter and couldn’t miss the chance to celebrate! 🐣

At the March market, we’ll be hiding 1,000 Easter eggs around the town park for kids to find, and the market is already buzzing with almost 100 stalls booked 👀

Queanbeyan Child Care will be registering and getting involved! Such a great initiative. See you all there 🙂

Join us at Queen Elizabeth II Park for Cleanup Australia Day.

We will be at the park from 9am-12pm on Sunday 1 March. We’ll also hold a BBQ for volunteers after the cleanup.

Looking for something to do this weekend? It’s going to be a great event!!

Googfest 2026 is on this Saturday 14 February at Rockley Oval in Googong from 5-9pm. The event is run by Googong Township.

While not a Council-run event, we'd like to let everyone know that there will be a fireworks display at the end of the event. We understand they are using lower noise fireworks, to minimise impact to surrounds, but those with animals that may be disturbed by the fireworks should take note.
