December is here! 😍🎄 Here are our favourite activities that are enjoyable and provide wonderful opportunities for toddlers to engage their senses, express creativity, and share in the joy of holiday preparations. 👶🌟
1️⃣ Festive Sensory Bins
Fill a shallow bin with holiday-themed sensory materials like jingle bells, soft fabric, and small ornaments. Encourage toddlers to explore textures, colours, and sounds. This activity engages their senses while fostering a festive spirit.
2️⃣ Handprint Ornaments
Provide plain ornaments, non-toxic paint, and a surface for creating. Help toddlers dip their hands in paint and make handprints on the ornaments. This simple and adorable activity creates personalised holiday decorations.
3️⃣ Holiday Sing-Along
Choose cheerful and simple holiday songs suitable for toddlers. Gather in a cozy space and sing along to holiday tunes. Incorporate simple movements like clapping or swaying to enhance the festive atmosphere!
4️⃣ Gingerbread Playdough Fun
Create a batch of gingerbread-scented playdough (flour, water, salt, and gingerbread spices). Allow toddlers to mould holiday shapes, like gingerbread people or snowflakes. Enhance the experience with cookie cutters and festive decorations!
What's your favourite? 🥰

🔍 Science Wednesday 🔬 Did you know that an octopus has 3 hearts? 😨
Like the three other members of the group – squids, cuttlefish and nautiluses – they have blue blood, because it uses a copper-rich protein to transport oxygen.
An octopus's 3 hearts have slightly different roles. One heart circulates blood around the body, while the other two pump it past the gills to pick up oxygen.

🌍👧👦 On November 20th, we unite globally to honour World Children's Day, a day dedicated to championing the rights and well-being of every child.
The 2023 theme, "For every child, every right," resonates deeply with the milestones achieved since adopting the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959 and the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989.
Here are tips on how we can all play a crucial role in advocating for children ⬇️
❤️ Educate and Empower: Spread awareness about children's rights within your community
❤️ Engage in Dialogue: Start conversations about children's rights with parents, educators, and community leaders
❤️ Mobilise Resources: Advocate for allocating financial, educational, and healthcare resources to ensure every child has access to quality services that promote their well-being
❤️ Community Collaboration: Forge partnerships between parents, educators, healthcare professionals, and local leaders to create a supportive network for children's rights
❤️ Celebrate Achievements: Recognise and applaud efforts that have positively impacted children's lives
Let's use World Children's Day as a catalyst for change, advocating, promoting, and celebrating the rights of every child. Together, we can create a world where every child's potential is nurtured and protected. 🌈
