Our Year 5 & 6 students enjoyed another great day exploring Canberra!

The day began at the Mount Ainslie Lookout, where students enjoyed morning tea while taking in the incredible views across the city.

Next, they visited the National Museum of Australia, exploring interactive exhibits and learning more about Australiaโ€™s rich history, people and culture.

The final stop for the day was Questacon - filled with lots of hands-on with the science exhibits, taking part in experiments and tackling plenty of fun challenges.

Itโ€™s been another wonderful day of discovery together as we head home after a fantastic camp. ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บโœจ

Our Year 5 & 6 students have arrived safely in Canberra and are off to a fantastic start to camp alongside students from OLPS.

It has been a busy and exciting first day! Students visited Parliament House, where they met Nicolette Boele, the Federal Member for Bradfield, who spoke to them about her role in Parliament and representing the local community.

They then visited Old Parliament House and the Electoral Education Centre, learning more about Australiaโ€™s democracy and voting system. They also got to visit the Australian War Memorial.

Itโ€™s been a wonderful first day filled with learning, new experiences and plenty of fun. We canโ€™t wait to see what the next few days have in store! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บโœจ

FUTURE: FORWARD 2026 โ€“ FLOURISH

Teachers Ebony Ingham and Jade Meyer joined colleagues from across Catholic Schools Broken Bay at the CEnet Future: Forward 2026 โ€“ Flourish Conference last week.

Bringing together Catholic education leaders, teachers and IT professionals, the conference explored how technology can be used thoughtfully and purposefully to support the learning, wellbeing and growth of every student. Guided by the theme Technology in Service of the Human Spirit, attendees explored ways to ensure innovation remains centred on people, relationships and learning.

Sacred Heartโ€™s Stage 3 students enjoyed a special Youth Ministry Day alongside students from OLPS West Pymble. ๐ŸŒŸ

Inspired by the theme, โ€œYou are the light of the worldโ€ (Matthew 5:14โ€“16), students spent the day growing in faith through prayer, reflection, discussion and service. Together, they explored how they can share Jesusโ€™ light in their everyday lives โ€” at school, at home, within their parish and in the wider community.

The day was also a wonderful opportunity to strengthen connections with students from OLPS West Pymble as we continue our journey towards Siena Catholic College. Friendships are already beginning to flourish! ๐Ÿค

We are so proud of the way our students embraced the day with enthusiasm, kindness and openness.

FEAST OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Our Sacred Heart community is warmly invited to join us on Friday 12 June as we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This special feast reminds us of the depth of Christ's love compassionate, merciful and ever-giving and calls us to share that love with others in our daily lives.

The morning will begin with Open Classrooms, where families are invited to spend time with their children creating a Family Heart to be presented during our Mass at 9:00am.

Following the Mass, families are welcome to stay and enjoy a picnic recess on the school oval.

As this will be the final Feast of the Sacred Heart celebrated at our school, we hope many families can join us for this meaningful occasion as we come together in faith, gratitude and community. โค๏ธ
