FUTURE: FORWARD 2026 – FLOURISH

Teachers Ebony Ingham and Jade Meyer joined colleagues from across Catholic Schools Broken Bay at the CEnet Future: Forward 2026 – Flourish Conference last week.

Bringing together Catholic education leaders, teachers and IT professionals, the conference explored how technology can be used thoughtfully and purposefully to support the learning, wellbeing and growth of every student. Guided by the theme Technology in Service of the Human Spirit, attendees explored ways to ensure innovation remains centred on people, relationships and learning.

Sacred Heart’s Stage 3 students enjoyed a special Youth Ministry Day alongside students from OLPS West Pymble. 🌟

Inspired by the theme, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14–16), students spent the day growing in faith through prayer, reflection, discussion and service. Together, they explored how they can share Jesus’ light in their everyday lives — at school, at home, within their parish and in the wider community.

The day was also a wonderful opportunity to strengthen connections with students from OLPS West Pymble as we continue our journey towards Siena Catholic College. Friendships are already beginning to flourish! 🤝

We are so proud of the way our students embraced the day with enthusiasm, kindness and openness.

💛✨

FEAST OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Our Sacred Heart community is warmly invited to join us on Friday 12 June as we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This special feast reminds us of the depth of Christ's love compassionate, merciful and ever-giving and calls us to share that love with others in our daily lives.

The morning will begin with Open Classrooms, where families are invited to spend time with their children creating a Family Heart to be presented during our Mass at 9:00am.

Following the Mass, families are welcome to stay and enjoy a picnic recess on the school oval.

As this will be the final Feast of the Sacred Heart celebrated at our school, we hope many families can join us for this meaningful occasion as we come together in faith, gratitude and community. ❤️

Sacred Heart students loved National Simultaneous Storytime today, joining schools and libraries across Australia to read Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller by Australian authors Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, illustrated by Jake A. Minton.

The story follows Luna Roo and her friends as they chase their football dreams across the outback. The themes of courage, resilience, teamwork, determination and chasing your dreams woven throughout the story were wonderful.

Thank you to Mrs Munce for reading to our students and embracing the spirit of the story.

We loved celebrating in the joy of reading together.

On 26 May, we acknowledge National Sorry Day, a day of reflection, respect and remembrance across our education communities.

National Sorry Day honours the strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors and acknowledges the lasting impacts of policies that led to the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, communities and Country.

It is a day that calls us to truth-telling and understanding, recognising that reconciliation is an ongoing commitment, grounded in listening, learning and walking together with respect.

Across our education system, we pause to reflect, learn and engage in conversations that deepen understanding and strengthen our collective commitment to reconciliation.
We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present, and to the continuing connection to land, waters and culture.

Congratulations to all students who represented Sacred Heart at the Broken Bay Diocesan Cross Country Carnival yesterday. It was a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate not only athletic skill but also the spirit and character of our school community.

We are extremely proud of the effort, determination, and sportsmanship shown by each student. These qualities reflect the values we strive to nurture at Sacred Heart.

Results are still being finalised, and we look forward to sharing them with the community as soon as they are available. Well done to all involved!
