A calling to monastic life doesn’t always arrive through a dramatic sign, a vision or an angel appearing with an answer.

Sometimes, God’s call is much quieter.

St Anthony simply went to church, heard the words of the Gospel — “Go, sell what you have… and come, follow Me” — and allowed those words to speak personally to his heart.

God can certainly work through extraordinary experiences, but we shouldn’t overlook the ordinary ways He speaks to us.

Sometimes the calling begins simply by listening — and having the courage to respond. ✝️

What does it truly mean to serve God?

Service is not limited to standing before a congregation or leading a ministry. Often, it is found in the quiet, unseen moments of faithfulness.

In this video, we explore the beauty of monastic life and how even the simplest daily tasks—welcoming others, caring for the church, and serving with humility—can become acts of worship when they are offered to God.

Wherever God has placed us, may we learn to serve Him with love, humility, and a joyful heart.

What is it that leads to sin? - fr. Anthony Mourad

Unceasing prayer doesn't mean spending every moment on your knees. It means learning to carry prayer with you throughout your day.

While working, walking, driving or completing ordinary tasks, the heart can remain turned toward God.

It may be the Jesus Prayer. A Psalm. A verse from Scripture. Even a few quiet words offered to Christ.

The words may change, but the purpose remains the same: to keep bringing the heart and mind back to God.

Prayer becomes more than something we stop to do — it gradually becomes a way of living. ✝️
