π₯ After being badly damaged during the war, the Irfa Health Post has been repaired and re-equipped by Create Impact.
We have donated essential medical equipment and supplies for local health workers and midwives β including equipment supporting safer pregnancies and births for local women.
For many families living in this remote region, they can now access pre & post natal healthcare without travelling long distances.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible π€

10 years ago, the community of Shumisheha Secondary School began building a new secondary school for their children. πΈ
A decade later, the building remains unfinished.
Create Impact is now preparing to begin repairs and works to help bring the school to life β but we still urgently need more funding to complete the project.
If youβd like to help create safe classrooms for hundreds of students, donations can be made via the link in our bio. π
All donations over $2 are tax deductible in Australia.

β°οΈπ₯Ύ Almost one year ago, we were walking the Larapinta Trail! Six days through the stunning landscapes of Central Australia, raising funds and awareness for communities in Ethiopia.
Itβs hard to believe a whole year has passed.
Weβre still so grateful to everyone who trekked, donated, supported, and followed along. The impact of that journey continues well beyond the trail itself π€

πβ³π§ Over the coming months, our Grade 12 students are preparing for their final exams β the Ethiopian National University Entrance Exam.
These exams will determine whether they are able to continue on to university.
Across Ethiopia, the system is incredibly tough. Only a small percentage of students achieve the results needed for direct university entry each year.
Thank you to all of our individual sponsors and for helping to get our students this far!
Weβre so proud of them π€

During Ethiopian Orthodox Easter celebrations this year, we provided 3kg of meat to 370 disadvantaged individuals in Lalibela, helping families break the long Easter fast and celebrate this important holiday together.
At a time when many families are facing ongoing hardship, we were incredibly grateful to be able to contribute in a meaningful way.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible π§‘

WEβRE LOOKING FOR SPONSORS! π
Our sponsorship program supports children and young people from rural Ethiopia to complete secondary school and progress to university. π
For many students, sponsorship isnβt βextra supportβ β itβs the difference between staying in education or dropping out.
Our students are completing Grade 12 and entering university at rates far higher than the national average.
The program has grown. Costs have risen.
β¨And our commitment is simple: no student drops out because we couldnβt sustain their support.
Weβre looking for new sponsors to help keep students in education and on track to finish what theyβve started β especially girls, who face the greatest barriers to staying in school.
If youβre looking to support education that is life-changing, this is it. β¨

ποΈ Project Update: Geneta Maryam π₯
We are currently busy constructing a new health clinic for this community and also repairing existing buildings - like this one!
In rural Ethiopia, many health clinics are unsuitable for treating patients, especially those that have been damaged through conflict, making it incredibly difficult for nurses and midwives to provide medical care.
At Geneta Maryam, we are repairing and upgrading the clinic so it can safely deliver primary health services to more than 7,000 people β including child & maternal health, vaccinations, first aid, and treatment for common illnesses.

Congratulations, Yasmina! ππ*
After finishing Grade 12 in 2022, Yasmina has now graduated with a Diploma in Accounting & Finance! π©πΎβπ»π
Yasmina lived at Carmanβs House during her final years of high school β our girlsβ hostel providing safe accommodation, meals and study support so vulnerable young women can finish school.
Now she has completed tertiary studies! With fewer than 5% of young women making it this far, itβs an incredible achievement!
We are so proud of you, Yasmina. π«ΆπΌ
