Job Summary:
Be a part of our team in a brand new beauty salon offering premium nail services. We will provide you with professional products and equipment for you to showcase your nail skills and become an in demand nail technician.

Salary:
Pay Guide -Hair and Beauty Industry Award Wages, and additional income incentives.
Hair and Beauty Industry Award Hours: Full-time & Part-time
(Penalty rates apply - Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays)

We are a one-stop-shop for beauty services situated in the heart of Richmond specialising in hairdressing, makeup, eyelash extensions, spray tanning, manicures, pedicures, gel polish applications, and nail extensions.
We aim to become the leading Beauty Salon in Melbourne, and our goal is to open multiple salons throughout Melbourne with great opportunities for the right candidates!

About the role:
We are seeking qualified, motivated, and experienced Nail Technicians to become part of our close knit team. We are looking for skilful and passionate individuals that will grow with us!
English must be your first or a competent second language - good communication skills is required to best service our clients and manage their expectations.
Customer service is a priority - ensuring that you exceed our clients expectations, and that they are educated with home care products and procedures is all part of our professional premium services.
Adhering to nail care and nail health - keeping your station and equipment hygienic and well organised aids in the safety of our clients and staff.
Knowledge and skill - it is preferred that you have experience with liquid and powder (acrylic) systems, gel systems, gel polish applications, manicures and pedicures.
Attention to detail - You have proficient understanding of different styles and trends, you take pride in your work and are always willing to go the extra mile for clients!

Availability required:
Our salon trading hours are as follows:
Monday - Friday between 9am to 8pm
Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm
(Full-time and Part-time positions available)
You will be on a flexible rotating roster where weekend work will be required.

I used CND - Creative Nail Design enamel ‘Black Pool’ with a variety of crystals and nail piercings to go with the theme and jewellery.

Cream Magazine (print) fashion shoot - Geisha Glamour
Keeping with the theme I airbrushed all nails red with detailed flora designs. I shaped a long pointed stiletto nail for model Carly, and for models Emily and Ayesha I shaped their nails long and square and airbrushed the red to a point with black sides.

Fashion shoot - Plenty More Fish Photography by Scott Lowe and his assistant Daniel Morris. Models: Monika and Fiona.
I used CND - Creative Nail Design enamels ‘Hotski to Tchotchke’, ‘Rose Bud’, ‘Sweet Tooth’ and ‘Tutti Frutti’. I then used sequins, and billion beads to simulate fish scales and fish roe, I also used a sponge to imprint a pattern to simulate coral.

The print version of the iconic Dolly Magazine was loved by many teenagers. Did you know that Miranda Kerr began modelling at the age of 13yrs winning the 1997 Dolly magazine model serch competition? Dolly has been around for a long time and is still a favourite online at DOLLY.
In 2003 a two-tone trend alert exploded, and here in the Dolly magazine print version I created a two-tone design using CND - Creative Nail Design enamals ‘Tutti Frutti’ and ‘Royalty’. Have fun with your two fav CND Vinylux colours and experience a week long wear before you need to change it up!

Sportsgirl campaign with candy colour prints - I created candy colour strips to flow with the theme. Using CND - Creative Nail Design enamels ‘Cream Puff’, ‘Bicycle Yellow’, ’Sweet Cakes’ and ‘Hotski To Tchotchke’ which was one of my fav colours. What was your fav colour back in the day...maybe it is still available, checkout the 165 colours from CND Vinylux delivering week long wear of runway inspired shades to accessorise every outfit.

Pacific Nail & Beauty Professional nail artist calendar showcased the work of nail professionals accross Australia and New Zealand. I was honoured to have two of my works showcased. (September and March)

Who remembers the CND - Creative Nail Design ‘Mosaic' coloured powders?
I used these highly pigmented powders to create these colourful designs which were chosen to promote the launch of the ‘Mosaic’ powders in the Hair Health & Beauty Professional wholesaler magazine, and they were also used to promote the Nail Art Seminar ‘Modern Art’ presented by Pacific Nail & Beauty.
