CWA Picton District Country Womens Association Picton District Branch Country Women's Association (CWA) - much much more than tea and scones!! We are busy getting ready for our next stall.

We are so much more than tea and scones - we aim to improve the conditions for women and children and make life better for families, especially those living in rural and remote Australia. It was a wonderful day to be a part of the community groups coming together for the launch of the Blue Tree Project in the Wollondilly at Tahmoor.
Painting the trunk of what will soon become a powerful symbol of hope, connection and support at Tahmoor DNA Dirt, Jump & Skate Park was a great community event to be a part of.
The tree’s highly visible location was chosen to encourage people to check in on one another, start conversations about mental health and remind each other that it’s okay to ask for help.
It is recognised that so many people and families struggle with Mental Health issues so this initiative is another important step to assist people.
Its opposite a seat that is dedicated to the memory of David Andrews, who is the son of one of our members.
We were so pleased to be able to cater the day and be a part of it 💙💛

There were needle cases from last months sewing workshop and the day was well attended.

Each year, more than 48,000 babies will be born requiring specialised care.

Miracle Babies Foundation is Australia’s leading not for profit organisation working to improve, support and enhance all lives impacted by a premature or sick birth.

This week, our Picton District Branch accepted an invitation to attend Miracles Babies and to be so welcomed and warmly received was amazing! Thank you! Our group was able to assist with putting bags together for hospitals for families which was so rewarding. We provided a lovely morning tea to share as well.
