Peterborough Community Preschool and Rural Care would like to say a big thank you to Peterborough SAAS for their generous donations to our Food is Free shelf.
This time of year for some families can be difficult and we try to help support those in needs.
This shelf is located just outside the centre and can be accessed by anyone in need. We just ask that people are mindful and only taking what they need to ensure that more families can utilise the items.

Peterborough Rural Care will have vacancies become available as of 2025 and are beginning to take names for our waiting list.

Rural Care operates from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday 50 weeks a year and is available for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

Families may be eligible to utilise Childcare Subsidy and can use the link below to see how many hours they are eligible for.

Is your child starting preschool next year?

Contact Peterborough Community Preschool to register your interest for preschool next year!

All children are entitled to 4 terms of government preschool in the year before they start school.

Children who turn 4 years old:
• BEFORE May 1st 2024 can start preschool in Term 1 2024
• BETWEEN May 1st and 31st October (inclusive) can start preschool in Term 3 2024 (mid year intake)
• AFTER 31st October can start preschool in Term 1 of 2025

If your child identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, or if your child is or has been in care, they’re eligible for 12 hours of preschool per week, after they turn 3.

Call us on 8651 2550 or visit us at 76-80 Victoria Street, Peterborough to fill out enrolment forms for both preschool and rural care.

Our cubby house has a new home in the mud patch! A huge thank you to our friends at Rotary who volunteered their time, equipment and energy to help move it - the children have loved cooking their mud creations in the cubby house kitchen this week!
