WHAT A WONDERFUL BOOK WEEK!

We had a fantastic week celebrating our love of books, reading and storytelling!
Our students enjoyed lunchtime reading and activities in the Library throughout the week, with plenty of opportunities to explore books, share stories and get creative.

The week finished with our Book Week Parade in the Park on Friday morning, where our students and staff proudly showed off their favourite book characters.

There were so many fantastic costumes, big smiles and lots of Book Week spirit!
We also had some amazing Book Week decorated doors around the school! A big thank you to everyone who got creative and transformed their classroom doors into colourful celebrations of books and reading.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Book Week celebrations so much fun!

What a fantastic day with the Perth Wildcats!

In week 2 some of our Year 5 and 6's had an amazing time participating in the Perth Wildcats basketball all abilities tournament, building their skills, confidence and teamwork while having plenty of fun along the way.

A huge thank you to the Perth Wildcats for providing such an engaging and inclusive experience. The smiles on our students' faces said it all!

This year, we have been excited to introduce UFLI Foundations at South Ballajura Education Support Centre!

Our students in TA24 have been busy building their early literacy skills through hands-on and multisensory activities. From building words and matching letters to practising letter formation and writing, students are getting lots of opportunities to learn, practise and apply their skills.

We love seeing our students engaged in their learning and celebrating their progress along the way!

Book Week is coming!

Next week we’ll be celebrating Children’s Book Week 2026, with this year’s theme “Symphony of Stories”.

The theme celebrates the many different stories, characters and ideas that come together to create the wonderful world of books. The 2026 artwork has been created by award-winning author and illustrator Briony Stewart.

To celebrate, students are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character on Friday 21 August for our Book Week Parade.

Parents, friends and families are invited to join us at 9:00am for the parade.
