SpringMath is coming to Australia and New Zealand!

Ochre Education has entered an exclusive agreement with Spring Math Accelerate to be the provider of SpringMath, a complete, patented mathematics MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) solution, in Australia and New Zealand.

This partnership will provide F–12 educators with access to SpringMath's proven combination of universal screening, targeted classwide intervention, progress monitoring and individual intervention to close persistent maths gaps.

The SpringMath approach is based on 20 years of research led by Dr. Amanda VanDerHeyden. In randomised controlled trials, students using SpringMath are half as likely to fail mathematics assessments. Students in the United States and Canada reached skill mastery milestones over 1.4 million times during the 2025–26 school year.

SpringMath will be offered to Australian schools progressively from the 2027 school year.

The Teach Well Masterclass is designed around the idea that high-quality professional learning needs to be grounded in research and evidence, alongside meaningful opportunities for practical application, reflection, coaching and refinement.

Across nine months, teachers and school leaders will work alongside each other to learn, trial, reflect and strengthen their instructional practice.

A fantastic start to our very first Tasmania Masterclass cohort today!

Katie R-H and Andrea had the privilege of welcoming an incredibly engaged group of secondary maths and science teachers and leaders, all committed to refining their practice and making an even greater impact for students.

Over the next nine months, participants will explore evidence-informed approaches to high-impact instruction, supported by practical workshops, classroom application and coaching.

Thank you to everyone who brought all the energy and professionalism to Day 1. We can't wait to see where this learning journey leads.

Enrolments for our 2027 Masterclass Series in High-Impact Instruction are now open.

Great teaching isn't built in a single workshop - it's refined over time through high-quality learning, practice, feedback and reflection.

That's exactly what our nine-month Masterclass Series is designed to support.

Across five practical workshop days, participants learn high-impact, evidence-informed instructional approaches before taking them into their own classrooms. Throughout the course, they'll receive multiple rounds of expert video coaching from the Teach Well team, with personalised feedback, dedicated opportunities for self-reflection, and the chance to share successes and challenges with colleagues.

Every workshop also includes live demonstrations of classroom practice, helping bridge the gap between research and what great instruction looks like in action. Participants also gain access to more than 220 instructional videos and 180 curriculum resources to support implementation back at school.

As Lisa Karamiolov, CESA System Coach, shared:

Yesterday, Katie and Jessica had the privilege of visiting Port School in Perth, welcomed by Barry Finch and Matt Hopkins for a tour of this truly unique school community.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Port School is pretty fantastic place. The calm, warmth and genuine sense of belonging greets you as soon as you walk through the front gates.

Port School provides an exceptional learning environment for students who need a different pathway - one that prioritises relationships, connection, engagement and helping young people discover their strengths.

The dedication of the staff, the strong sense of community, and the belief in every student’s potential were incredibly evident.

We left feeling inspired by what has been created at Port School. It was a wonderful reminder that great schools are built not only through strong teaching and systems, but through the people, relationships and culture that make students feel valued and understood.

Thanks Barry and Matt for sharing your school with us. We were so grateful for the opportunity to visit and learn from your incredible community.
