🦁🐘 Zoo Excursion Adventure! 🐒🦒
Last week, our Year 2 students enjoyed an exciting day at the zoo as part of their learning. Some lucky Year 1 and Year 3 students also attended as members of our composite Year 2 classes, along with the older students from Bunuru 10, who are their buddy class.
Throughout the term, these classes have been participating in Talk 4 Writing, our whole-school writing program, with a focus on researching animals and creating information texts. The zoo excursion provided a wonderful opportunity to bring their classroom learning to life, allowing students to observe animals up close, learn about their habitats and discover fascinating facts to support their writing.
It was also fantastic to see our Bunuru 10 students demonstrating leadership skills as they supported and encouraged the younger students throughout the day. These students have been developing their leadership capabilities through their Buddy Program and were excellent role models on the excursion.
A big thank you to our staff and parent helpers who made this valuable learning experience possible. The students represented Beechboro Primary School proudly and demonstrated our school values throughout the day.
