Jiu Jitsu fixes everything!!!!!! 😅

A recent conversation with some very good friends recently lead to the conclusion,

A lot of people going through heaps of trauma at the moment, work, family, life, bills…… etc
Especially true in today’s economy!!

A lot of physical and mental stress.!!

My reply;

“You can’t control what you can’t control”!!
It’s all part of the journey, it’ll work itself out!!
Just keep showing up!!

Be patient, try to be a little better today than you were yesterday!!

Don’t sweat the small stuff!!
Learn to be Comfortable being Uncomfortable!!
Stay the path!!!

New Black Belt!!!!

This year (February 2026) marks my 35th year of training!!!! I have just as much love for BJJ today as I did on day one!! 🙏🙏🙏

Anyone that has trained with me over the past 3 decades appreciates what it takes to reach that next level!!!! Blood, sweat, tears, good days, tough days, sacrifices, commitment!!

When you start your BJJ you not only begin one of the most rewarding martial arts journeys in the world but you join a community, a family that has your back (literally) day in, day out!!

That’s what makes this even more special to me, to be able to award my 3rd Black Belt from Jean Jacques MACHADO BJJ Perth to Professor Jon Dennis!!!! (Jon Dennis) 🔥🔥🔥

Jon has been training with me for over 13 years and is the text book definition of BJJ Black belt!!!!

Professional, technical, integrity, an asset to our family!! An absolute honour to be a part of Jons journey and be able to share the mats with him!!!!

What an honour to get to train with and spend the last few days with Professor aka “Super Jay” from JJMachado HQ!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Exceptional BJJ technique and concepts aside, just spending time around him, on or off the mats, food, coffee, chats, lifts you to another level.
The time he has given, his achievements, things he has sacrificed, countless hrs of work and to be where he is at and do what he does effortlessly and share and uplift all within the room is absolutely inspiring!!!!! I can not thank you enough for everything (especially the impact you have on Brandon and Joel) 🙏🙏🙏🙏and we look forward to seeing you all again very soon!!!

Professor Zeballos is a 4th Degree Black Belt under Master Jean Jacques Machado and holds multiple Gi/No Gi Championship world titles!!!! We’re definitely more about the training than the colour of the belt but as a coach it’s always such an honour to be a part of their BJJ journey and witness the vast improvements not only technically but also socially and in life!!
